Bafra ovasi kosullarinda karik sulamada uygun boylarinin belirlenmesi icin akis denemeleri yapilmis ve parametreleri degerlendirilmistir. Kariklarda 1.5, 2.0 2.5 L/s debiler kullanilarak infiltrasyon durumu ortaya cikarilmistir. Net surelerinin debide sirasiyla 205 dakika, 159 dakika 117 oldugu belirlenmistir. Karik belirlenmesinde net suresinin ¼’u kadar surede suyun sonuna ulasmasi gerektiginden debilerde cikarilan ilerleme egrileri 86.6, 92.5 97.3 m olarak en boylari belirlenmistir

In this study, some of the empirical methods such as USDA-SCS and volume balance equations were used for determining furrow length. The main purpose was proving application possibility. According to results, Volume Balance Equations can be length at Bafra Plain, Turkey. field experiment results are very close each other.
