The effect of the preserver on length-weight relationship and condition factor were estimated using 50 specimens Tlaloc labialis; a small stream fish from Grijalva River basin, México. They measured at different stages preservation: freshly collected, fixed in 10% formalin preserved 70% ethanol for over 2 years period. All decreased weight factor, with very significant differences compared to fresh material. value coefficient (b) increased stabilized second month preservation ethanol.

Abstract Until recently, the genus Profundulus was classified in two subgenera, and Tlaloc, sole members of family Profundulidae. Newly discovered molecular data have been used to justify elevation these subgenera genera. Yet morphological analyses diagnose genera are lacking.
