Occlusion of all the main arteries involved in blood supply to brain is extremely rare, develops slowly and can occur with both pronounced symptoms minor manifestations. Vascular damage be at different levels, depending on this, there are ways collateral flow, which great importance. The review discusses methods visualization treatment for this pathology.
Aim . To describe the main endovascular interventions used in portal hypertension. The paper presents modern procedures for treating patients with hypertension and varicose transformation of esophageal gastric veins: transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt, balloon-occluded retrograde transvenous obliteration, antegrade partial embolization splenic arteries veins. study extensively discusses radical shunting surgery related to – shunt. involves historical aspects development this...
To analyze various methods for treatment of TIPS dysfunction. There were 45 patients (29 men, 16 women, aged 52.2±2.03 years) with dysfunction. Dysfunction bare-metal stent was noted in 29 cases, stent-graft - cases. thrombosis occurred 24 patients, hyperplasia hepatic vein intima 7, pseudointimal the shunt liver tissue prolapse 5, migration 2 patients. Redo surgery included rheolytic thrombectomy, balloon angioplasty, stent-in-stent technique, u-shaped and parallel stenting.Patients...
Aim. To analyze the dynamics of hepatic encephalopathy after transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunting (TIPS). Material and Methods. It was analyzed results complex survey 52 patients who underwent TIPS. Self-expanding stents 8–10 cm, diameter mm stent-graft were applied for shunt creation. Results. The two main complications TIPS are progression shunt’s malfunction. increased degree in 18 months postoperatively revealed 3 (10%) patients. Symptoms eliminated did not effect on...
Transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt is one of the few available options for treating complications portal hypertension in patients with chronic diffuse liver diseases. Over time, patency can become compromised, causing a recurrence such complications. The clinical case presented below demonstrates potential TIPS and illustrates use an endovascular reintervention re-establishing patency, which improves life expectancy patients, as well their quality life.
