Die-swell is an important parameter for characterization of elastic properties during extrusion polymeric melts, and the degree swell usually expressed by die-swell ratio (B). The polypropylene composites filled with diatomite different particle sizes (volume fraction 10%) was measured means a melt flow rate instrument to investigate effects die geometry conditions on behavior composite melts temperature varying from 210 230 °C load 5 12.5 kg. results showed that B increased nonlinearly...

Abstract In view of the problem difficult treatment pile spoil in infrastructure construction, solid waste-based cementitious material was designed and used as solidifier for spoil. The modification on studied from aspects physical chemical characteristics, microstructure, engineering characteristics. results show that material, primarily composed granulated blast furnace slag (GBFS) powder, steel dust, desulfurization gypsum, exhibits excellent synergistic hydration effects. Under action...

ABSTRACT Some rigid polyurethane foam (RPUF) composites modified with microencapsulated red phosphorus (MRP), magnesium hydrate (Mg(OH) 2 ), glass fiber (GF), and hollow bead (HGB) were prepared. The influence of the MRP, Mg(OH) , GF, HGB on flame‐retardant, combustion, mechanical properties filled RPUF was investigated. results showed that flame‐retardant combustion obviously improved, limiting oxygen index, half burning time residual mass/original mass ratio increased increasing MRP/Mg(OH)...

The dispersion of rigid inorganic particles (RIP) in polymer matrix is discussed and an equation for estimation the proposed. glass beads (GB) polypropylene (PP) PP/ethylene-propylene-diene monomer co-polymer (EPDM) blend was measured by means thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). It found that effects filler surface treatment modification on uniformity PP insignificant at low concentration. But filled with small better than big GB-filled system. Moreover, values weight fraction were somewhat...

Abstract A novel nanocomposite Cu/PtFe/carbon nanotubes (CNTs) was designed, prepared and examined as a cathode catalyst for direct methanol fuel cells (DMFCs). The effects of Fe Cu on oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) activity tolerance were investigated by varying their amounts or configurations in the nanocomposite. experimental results show that PtFe alloy CNTs could not enhance tolerance, but improve ORR activity. deposited PtFe/CNTs to obtain better tolerance. optimum molar ratio...

On the basis of Ashelby’s method and Mori’s work, a simplified equation describing relationship between storage modulus filler volume fraction for polymer composites filled with inorganic particles was proposed. The dynamic mechanical properties low-density polyethylene glass beads were measured using Du Pont dynamical analysis instrument in temperature range from —150°C to 100°C. It found that increased roughly nonlinearly an increase bead weight fraction. relative these estimated by means...
