Computer haptics (CH) is about integration of tactile sensation and rendering in Metaverse. However, unlike computer vision (CV) where both hardware infrastructure software programs are well developed, a generic data capturing device that serves the same role as what camera does for CV, missing. Bioinspired by electrophysiological processes human somatosensory nervous system, here we propose scanner along with neuromorphically-engineered which closed-loop acquisition (re-creation)...
CMOS linear image sensors have been extensively studied and widely applied due to the features of low power consumption, cost, fast scanning speed. In recent years, some studies begun integrating them with a near-infrared (NIR) light source as photoelectric unit in eye-tracking systems. NIR wavelength range, detection performed by silicon-based materials or processes is preferred. this study, we successfully designed fabricated dual-column sensor named array (DCLAS), exhibiting high...
We report on a fully-integrated lab chip (LOC) thin-film transistor (TFT) glass substrate that integrates digital microfluidic array for droplet manipulation, on- resistive heater and temperature sensor biochemical amplification reaction, optical fluorescence detection, transimpedance preamplifier signal amplification. The proposed LOC is manufactured in an industrial-standard TFT-LCD production line, making it very cost-effective promising disposable point-of-care testing (POCT) applications.

Abstract With the rapid development of Internet Things (IoTs), wearable sensors are playing an increasingly important role in daily monitoring personal health and wellness. The signal-to-noise-ratio has become most critical performance factor to consider. To enhance it, on one hand, good sensing materials/devices have been employed; other signal amplification noise reduction circuits used. However, these devices work active sampling mode, requiring frequent data acquisition hence, entailing...
The detection of UVA rays (wavelength 315–400 nm) is great interest in technological applications and scientific research. Here, this work demonstrates a complementary metal-oxide–semiconductor (CMOS)-compa- tible photodetector based on p-nickel-oxide/n-indium-gallium-zinc-oxide heterojunction intended for on-chip ultraviolet (UV) imaging. photo- detector exhibits dark current density 0.7 nA/cm <sup xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"...
This article details the applicability of a thin-film piezotronic bipolar junction transistor as wearable energy harvester that is capable signal rectification without any extra and complicated circuitry. An analytical model equivalent circuit elaborate its working principle device physics. A preliminary experimental study through 90°-flexion, tapping, walking proves concept demonstrates such can generate power promising for electronics. Coupled with ease large-area fabrication processes,...
In-display optical and image sensors add functions values to display panels form smarter more interactive displays. A randomly-accessible active pixel sensor (APS) based on a double-gate amorphous silicon TFT is proposed studied in this work.
