We demonstrate an L-band passively mode-locked erbium-doped fiber laser emitting at 1599.43 nm wavelength a pulse train of 5.68 MHz. The microfiber reduced graphene oxide composite behaves as saturable absorber that was fabricated using in-situ wet chemical and dip-coating methods. During operation, single-pulse soliton observed mode-locking threshold 40 mW. This is few times lower than most the previous assessments in same class band absorbers. duration 568 fs with maximum average output...

Escherichia coli O157:H7 is a foodborne Shiga-toxin-producing bacterium that leads to millions of cases illness every year. The development portable biosensor rapidly detects this pathogen can greatly reduce both the time required identify source contamination within food production chain and scale outbreaks. Here we propose swab for detection E. made from electrospun poly-3-hydroxybutyrate (PHB) on which reporter bacteriophage (phage), PP01—engineered express bioluminescent protein Nanoluc...

The effect of NaOH solution on the formation nanoparticles has been subject ongoing debate in selenium-based material research. In this project, robust correlation between mechanistic growth zinc selenide/graphene oxide (ZnSe/GO) composite and concentration are elucidated. ZnSe/GO was synthesized via microwave-assisted hydrothermal method concentrations controlled at 2 M, 3 4 5 M 6 M. XRD spectra show that crystal phases samples exhibited a 100% purity ZnSe when sodium hydroxide (NaOH) set...

We propose and demonstrate a passively mode-locked erbium-doped fiber laser (EDFL) based on zinc-oxide/polydimethylsiloxane (ZnO/PDMS) saturable absorber (SA) that evanescently interacts with the light tapered fiber. The ZnO/PDMS composite is coated whole surface of to guarantee maximum efficiency SA device, measured insertion loss 0.87 dB modulation depth 6.4%. proposed can generate soliton mode-locking operation at threshold power 33.07 mW. generated output pulse yields repetition rate...

This work demonstrates femtosecond pulse generations in C- and L-band regimes utilizing a gamma-aluminum oxide/polydimethylsiloxane saturable absorber (γ-Al2O3/PDMS-SA) via mode-locking technique. The γ-Al2O3/PDMS-SA has 7.3 % modulation depth moderate saturation intensity of 303 MW/cm2, estimated damage threshold greater than 8.49 GW/cm2 3.57 pumping intensities wavelengths, respectively. In the C-band laser cavity, generated mode-locked delivered low 28.7 mW an ultrafast width 622 fs....

This work demonstrates a simple and economical route of preparing molybdenum trioxide/polydimethylsiloxane composite saturable absorber (MoO3-SA) for ultrashort pulse generation. The average size MoO3 used in this was about 10 μm conveniently prepared using standard bath sonication. MoO3-SA fabricated by depositing on tapered microfiber structure waist diameter via spin coating technique. modulation depth, saturation fluence non-saturable loss the were measured to be 4.02%, 28.3 μJ/cm2...
