The aim of this paper was to draw up a set recommendations for applied nutrition and feeding trials with rabbits, in relation certain aspects such as determining the nutritive value raw materials or diets growing reproducing animals, studying digestive physiology obtaining growth reproduction parameters. We deal first size sample, housing conditions, diets, handling, measurements, data analyses relevant design experiment are described. Secondly, we give list recommended items include some comments.
The effect of neutral detergent-soluble fiber level on gut barrier function and intestinal microbiota was examined in weaned rabbits. A control diet (AH) containing 103 g fiber/ kg DM included alfalfa hay as main source fiber. Another (B-AP) formulated by replacing half the with a mixture beet apple pulp resulting 131 soluble fiber/kg DM. third (OH) obtained substituting mix oat hulls soybean protein concentrate contained 79 Rabbits at 25 d slaughtered 35 were used to determine ileal...
The influence of AME(n) concentration the diet on productive performance and egg quality traits was studied in Hy-Line brown egg-laying hens differing initial BW from 24 to 59 wk age. Eight treatments were arranged factorially with 4 diets varying energy content (2,650, 2,750, 2,850, 2,950 kcal AME(n)/kg) 2 (1,733 vs. 1,606 g). Each treatment replicated 5 times (13 per replicate), all had similar nutrient unit energy. No interactions between detected for any trait. An increase increased...
The influence of fiber source on digestion and mean retention time was investigated. Six fibrous feedstuffs with wide differences in chemical composition particle size were selected: paprika meal, olive leaves, alfalfa hay, soybean hulls, sodium hydroxide-treated barley straw, sunflower hulls. diets formulated to contain one these ingredients as the sole fiber. To avoid nutrient imbalances, sources supplemented different proportions a concentrate free based soy protein isolate, wheat flour,...
The aim of this work was to determine the main factors that affect caecal pH, concentrations and molar proportions volatile fatty acids (VFA) weight contents. The database constituted data (n = 92) from three laboratories included mentioned traits chemical composition nutritive value diets. The laboratory affected pH (P < 0.001) probably because differences in sampling time among them.Dietary uronic (UA) were measured 21 diets negatively correlated with positively VFA concentration proportion...

The effect of source carbohydrate on gut histology, digestion efficiency, and growth performance in early-weaned (25 d) rabbits at the starter period to 39 was investigated. Six diets were factorially arranged study partial substitution starch (0, 25, or 50%) by lactose two levels fiber (30 36% NDF). Diets formulated meet exceed essential nutrient requirements growing rabbits. A feeding trial conducted measure treatments 252 that fed experimental thereafter received a common feed until 60 d...
In the European context, new legislation to avoid mineral contamination and ban on antibiotics as growth promoters has led definition of objectives in respect nitrogen supply. The present study summarizes state nutrition rabbits reviews role protein amino acids rabbit health value sources based true ileal digestibility (TID) for future recommendations. main microbial are ammonia, urea (endogenous dietary). surplus flow caecum increases mortality rates during fattening by favouring potential...
In this review, the methods used to measure fibre and soluble fractions are briefly presented effects of content in diets for growing rabbits reviewed by a meta-analysis studies available literature, with aim elucidating relationships other dietary nutrients. Soluble was assumed as difference between total (TDF) neutral detergent (NDF), it is simple obtain has been measured numerous studies. Dietary affects digestive utilisation insoluble its increase associated reduced mortality affected...
Stigma and discrimination remain significant challenges to the quality of life social integration individuals with chronic mental disorders, particularly schizophrenia, one most stigmatized conditions. The paradox insight, in which greater awareness illness correlates poorer psychosocial outcomes presence high internalized stigma, provides a critical framework for understanding these challenges. This study examined moderation between insight stigma its influence on 83 male participants...
Animal studies are essential to nutrition research, particularly in investigating the effects of dietary changes on animal growth, reproduction, health and metabolism. These provide quantitative data feedstuffs’ nutritive value response diets, indispensable for building accurate nutrient databases defining requirements, respectively. However, advancements (bio)technologies have encouraged development non-animal alternatives rabbit research. Moreover, Europe’s commitment replacing animals...
A trial was conducted to study the influence of CP and fat content diet on performance egg quality traits brown egg-laying hens from 22 50 wk age. The experiment as a completely randomized design with 8 treatments arranged factorially 4 diets 2 initial BW (1,592 vs. 1,860 g). Three these differed in (16.5, 17.5, 18.5%) included 1.8% added fat. fourth also had 18.5% but supplemented 3.6% instead Each treatment replicated times, experimental unit consisted 21 allocated into groups 7 3 adjacent...
The influence of the main cereal and type supplemental fat in diet on productive performance egg quality eggs was studied 756 brown-egg laying hens from 22 to 54 wk age. experiment conducted as a completely randomized design with 9 treatments arranged factorially, 3 cereals (dented corn, soft wheat, barley) types (soy oil, acidulated vegetable soapstocks, lard). Each treatment replicated 4 times (21 hens/replicate). All diets were formulated have similar nutrient content, except for linoleic...
We investigated the effects of fiber inclusion in diet on growth performance and digestive traits pullets from hatching to 17 wk age. The control diets 3 feeding periods (0 5 wk, 10 wk) were based corn soybean meal did not include any additional source. experimental included 2 or 4% cereal straw sugar beet pulp (SBP) at expense (wt:wt) diet. From 0 age, affect pullet performance. hatch had little effect but SBP reduced (ADG) (P < 0.05) feed conversion ratio (FCR; P 0.001). Pullets fed...
The influence of feed form and energy concentration the diet on growth performance development gastrointestinal tract (GIT) was studied in brown-egg laying pullets. Diets formed a 2 x 5 factorial with forms (mash vs. crumbles) levels differing 50 kcal AMEn/kg. For entire study (0 to 17 wk age) feeding crumbles increased ADFI (52.9 49.7 g; P < 0.001) ADG (12.7 11.6 improved conversion ratio (FCR; 4.18 4.27; 0.001). An increase content decreased linearly (P FCR quadratically 0.01) but intake...
Four diets based on different vegetal protein concentrates: soya bean meal 48 (SB48 diet), concentrate (SB61 sunflower 36 (SF36 diet) and a combination of potato (SB48-P77 were formulated for the starter period (25-39 days) in early weaned rabbits (25 days age). These sources accounted 30% total dietary crude (CP) content. All to be isonutritive meet or exceed all essential nutrient requirements growing rabbits.A feeding trial was conducted measure effect treatments growth performance 204 that...
The effect of type fiber, site fermentation, method for quantifying insoluble and soluble dietary their correction intestinal mucin on fiber digestibility were examined in rabbits. Three diets differing formulated (8.5% DM basis, the low [LSF] diet; 10.2% medium [MSF] 14.5% high [HSF] diet). They obtained by replacing half dehydrated alfalfa MSF diet with a mixture beet apple pulp (HSF diet) or mix oat hulls soybean protein (LSF Thirty rabbits ileal T-cannulas used to determine fecal...
