Highly microporous carbons were prepared from argan nut shell (ANS) using steam activation method. The (ANS@H2O-30, ANS@H2O-90, and ANS@H2O-120) characterized X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, Fourier-transform infrared, nitrogen adsorption, total fluorescence, temperature-programmed desorption (TPD). ANS@H2O-120 was found to have a high surface area of 2853 m2/g. adsorption bisphenol A diuron on investigated. isotherm data fitted Langmuir Freundlich models. model presented...

Abstract In this paper, a novel structured carbon foam has been prepared from argan nut shell (ANS) was developed and applied in bisphenol A (BPA) removal water. The results showed that the remove 93% of BPA (60 mg/L). equilibrium data obeyed Liu isotherm, displaying maximum uptake capacity 323.0 mg/g at 20 °C. calculated free enthalpy change ( ∆H ° = − 4.8 kJ/mol) indicated existence physical adsorption between foam. Avrami kinetic model able to explain experimental results. From...

In this paper we describe the synthesis and characterization of acido–basic properties catalysts containing varied amounts vanadium supported on ZrO2. The preparation zirconia was carried out using a hydrolysis method introduced by impregnation with porous volume in several stages, followed calcinations under air at temperature 723 K. obtained samples are characterized adsorption–desorption nitrogen infrared spectral analysis different species formed acidic basic probes. This adsorption...

Silica modified alumina was used in this study for coating of a cordierite monolith substrate with two different channel densities. The performance the prepared catalysts evaluated catalytic total oxidation dichloromethane before and after Pt impregnation. characteristics similar to powder form were kept rather successfully washcoating as evidenced by electron microscopy (FESEM) N2 physisorption. A (DCM) conversion higher than 80% at 500 °C reached over all 200 cpsi. maximum obtained...

Silica-titania (70/30) supported vanadium catalysts were prepared, characterized, and studied in oxidative dehydrogenation of sulfur-contaminated methanol. The quality vanadia species is dependent on temperature gas conditions during preparation, support type, specific surface area VOx density. For example, upon heating the amount V2O5 decrease along with formation polymeric species. Such changes may occur also catalytic reaction. reaction experiments characterization results showed that...
