Phytoextraction is a technique using hyperaccumulator to remove heavy metals from soil. The efficiency of metal uptake can be enhanced by the inoculation endophytes. In this study, we isolated and identified 23 endophytes Chromolaena odorata, cadmium (Cd) that consisted 19 bacteria, 2 actinomycetes fungi. All bacteria fungi could produce at least 1 plant growth promoting factors. However, only 4 bacterial isolates; Paenibacillus sp. SB12, Bacillus SB31, LB51, Alcaligenes RB54 showed highest...

Sonchus arvensis is one of the pioneer plant species that were found in abandoned Bo Ngam Pb mine Thailand. S. was collected from three sites. The highest shoot concentration 9317 mg kg(-1) and translocation factor (TF) bioaccumulation (BF) values 2.5 6.0, respectively. To investigate uptake capacity arvensis, a hydroponic experiment performed for 15 d. exposed to 5 L(-1) solution had accumulation (849 kg(-1)). In pot study, grown soils amended with organic inorganic fertilizers 2 mo....

Malaria transmission-blocking compounds have been studied to block the transmission of malaria parasites, especially drug-resistant Plasmodium. Carboxypeptidase B (CPB) in midgut Anopheline mosquitoes has demonstrated be essential for sexual development Plasmodium mosquito. Thus, CPB is a potential target blocking compounds. The aim this research was screen from National Cancer Institute (NCI) diversity dataset and U.S. Food Drug Administration (FDA)-approved drugs that could reduce...

Cattle have been domesticated in Southeast Asia, including Thailand, for thousands of years, but the history cattle domestication region remains unclear. To date, only genetic studies modern Thai DNA reported. gain some insight into country, a total 56 excavated from four archaeological sites (dated to between 3550 and 1700 years before present (YBP)) northeastern central Thailand were analysed this study. Of 56, 157-bp D-loop fragment was successfully generated 26 samples, all which...

Pigs, the principal sources of meat for humans, have been crucial to cultures throughout Asia, especially in China and SE since prehistoric times. Several archaeological studies used pig remains elucidate origin, culture, social evolution, migration patterns Asiatic people. However, ancient DNA these central Thailand particular, has not investigated test historical theories resulting from studies. Here, we investigate excavated Pong Takhop site, aged at least 3000 BP. The phylogenetic tree...

This report is the first to characterise complete coding sequence of a dengue virus serotype 4 (DENV-4) genotype I that was isolated from field-caught mosquitoes an endemic area in Thailand June 2013. The assembled high-throughput sequencing reads generated by Illumina HiSeq. Three out four observed intra-sample variants caused amino acid variation C, NS2B, and NS5 genes. C4279T variant located NS2B gene can indirectly affect proteolytic activity NS3 protein. provided this study might be...

Mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) sequences, especially mitochondrial control region (mtCR) and cytochrome c oxidase subunit I (mtCOI), have been widely used in population evolutionary genetic analyses of metazoan. The presence mtDNA heteroplasmy – a mixture haplotypes possibly affects these analyses. This study aimed to reveal mtCR, mtCOI, mtND2 (mitochondrial NADH dehydrogenase 2) Portunus pelagicus, examine its effect on the use mtCR mtCOI sequences. screening result showed that probability...

Dengue disease is an important arboviral caused by the bite of a dengue virus (DENV)-infected mosquito vector, especially Aedes aegypti. This widely spread throughout both tropical and temperate zones. DENV causes deaths every year, in children, thus emphasizing need to improve surveillance. Early detection accurate serotype genotype identification one approach for improving surveillance; therefore, this study evaluated efficiency four high-fidelity DNA polymerases—AccuPrime™ Taq, Platinum®...
