A new electrosynthesized, fluorescent 4-amino-3-hydroxynaphthalene-1-sulfonic acid-doped polypyrrole (AHNSA-PPy) was used for the detection of Cr(VI), Pb(II) and Cd(II) heavy metallic ions.
