In this letter, we proposed an innovative laser self-mixing interferometer (SMI) with a reflection-type two-dimensional (2D) grating for three-dimensional (3D) dynamic displacement sensing. This paper proposes a new method for the testing of accelerometers by using laser feedback interferometer (LFI). In this method, portion light from diode is reflected an external target and then returns back to cavity, interference occurs.
