To test the hypothesis that there is no difference in shear bond strength of brackets bonded to provisional crown materials (PCMs) using two adhesive agents.Four PCMs were tested: Integrity, Jet, Protemp, and Snap. Forty cylindrical specimens 10 mm diameter x 5 prepared for each PCM. Ten from group one brackets, Clarity or Victory, adhesives, Fuji Ortho LC Bracket Adhesive. The debonded at a cross-head speed mm/min, (SBS) was calculated. type failure visually determined. numeric data...
Abstract Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) has been used to obtain insight into corrosion processes for three Pd–Ag alloys, and compare their behavior with an Au–Pd alloy. Five specimens of each alloy received clinically‐appropriate simulated porcelain‐firing heat treatment. EIS testing was performed at ambient temperature, using 0.09% NaCl, 0.9% NaCl Fusayama solutions. data are presented as Bode plots. At the open‐circuit potential (OCP), fit a modified Randles equivalent...
Abstract When a screw fracture occurs on cement‐retained, implant‐supported restoration, the abutment and restoration are completely separated from implant's internal connection. Traditionally, an access hole is drilled through crown to retrieve broken screw, can be placed again as screw‐retained restoration. This clinical report documents patient whose was retrieved by burning off cement separating without drilling hole.
Postsurgical facial defects often pose a challenge to patient rehabilitation. Such can have severe adverse effect on perceptions of body image and self-esteem. When immediate surgical repair the defect is not feasible, an interim removable prosthesis may be considered. This fabricated placed as soon several days after surgery provide cosmetically acceptable appearance, permitting more comfortably confidently resume social interactions during postoperative healing period. article presents two...
Abstract There is incomplete understanding of corrosion mechanisms for high‐palladium dental alloys used metal‐ceramic restorations. This investigation employed two complementary techniques as a novel sensor an initial tendencies phases in representative high‐Pd with Pd–Cu–Ga and Pd–Ga compositions. After the oxidation step simulated porcelain‐firing cycles, specimens were polished examination by Scanning Kelvin Probe Force Microscopy Atomic to evaluate Volta potential difference across...
