Renal tubular acidosis (RTA) is a group of transport defects in the reabsorption bicarbonate, excretion hydrogen ion (H(+)), or both, resulting systemic and hypokalemia with normal glomerular filtration rate. Although isolated proximal (type 2) distal 1) pathologies are well characterized, combined pathology leading to type 3 RTA very rare. Here, we report case RTA, using an algorithmic approach classify scenario hypokalemic metabolic setting episodic flaccid paralysis.
