Ferromagnetic topological insulators exhibit the quantum anomalous Hall effect that might be used for high precision metrology and edge channel spintronics. In conjunction with superconductors, they could host chiral Majorana zero modes which are among contenders realization of qubits. Recently, it was discovered stable 2+ state Mn enables formation intrinsic magnetic A1B2C4 stoichiometry. However, first representative, MnBi2Te4, is antiferromagnetic 25 K N\'eel temperature strongly n-doped....

The structure and morphology of ${\mathrm{Bi}}_{m}{\mathrm{Se}}_{n}$ epitaxial layers with compositions ranging from ${\mathrm{Bi}}_{2}{\mathrm{Se}}_{3}$ to the ${\mathrm{Bi}}_{1}{\mathrm{Se}}_{1}$ grown by molecular beam epitaxy different flux are investigated transmission electron microscopy, high-resolution x-ray diffraction, atomic force microscopy. It is shown that lattice changes significantly as a function composition, i.e., Se/BiSe ratio determines stoichiometry layers. A perfect...

We employ infrared transmission spectroscopy to explore the temperature-dependent absorption edge and electron-phonon (e-ph) interaction in topological insulator Bi2Se3 band (Bi0.89In0.11)2Se3 films. Upon heating from 5 K 300 K, shifts 262 249 meV for 367 343 (Bi0.89In0.11)2Se3. By analyzing temperature dependence of Urbach tail, significant role Raman-active phonon mode Eg2 e-ph is identified, which agrees well with ab initio calculation.

We present Raman, terahertz transmission, and transport measurements on (Bi1−xInx)2Se3 films to study the evolution of phonon modes resistivity with an increasing indium content across metal-insulator phase transition. The frequencies two Raman-active Eg2 A1g2 as well infrared-active mode Eu increase due smaller atomic weight compared bismuth. Terahertz data are fitted by a Drude-Lorentz model. Drude scattering rates from 47 75 cm−1 0% 16% stronger impurity scattering. carrier concentration...
