This paper presents a wavelet-based fault detection approach where wavelet parameters are optimized in order to minimize the residue nominal operating conditions and maximize it faulty conditions. For this purpose bi-objective optimization procedure is used. The dual-tree complex wavelet transform is considered a relatively recent improvement for the discrete transform. In this paper, applicability of such in problem speech enhancement evaluated.
