Abstract An efficient synthesis of phthalocyanines prepared from ortho ‐substituted phthalonitriles is described. The precursor to these phthalocyanines, 3‐nitrophthalonitrile, a key reagent for syntheses substituted at the 3‐position by means nucleophilic aromatic substitutions. example this type phthalocyanine, 3‐(4‐cumylphenoxy)phthalonitrile, compared with phthalocyanine derived 4‐(4‐cumylphenoxy)phthalonitrile. Brillouin Energy (BEC) has continued performing calorimetry measurements on the metal (e.g. Ni)/ceramic/Cu coated ceramic tube (catalyst) in a H2 atmosphere with nanosecond pulses applied across coatings. The Research Center (ERC) been examining and verifying BEC’s for over 5 years. Over 2000 runs were performed 300 different catalyst tubes using stimulation parameters. A new reactor system designed implemented only mass flow calorimetry. This led to more reliable understandable thermal...

Abstract Per‐ and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are a large group of synthetic compounds that have emerged as chemicals concern in drinking water groundwater. Typically, such waters treated to remove PFAS by passing the through bed sorbent material (e.g., activated carbon anion exchange resins [AIX]). However, efficacy these sorbents varies depending on types concentrations PFAS, addition quality conditions organic matter content conductivity (ionic strength). The choice effectively...

Nanometer scale patterns have been fabricated on a Langmuir–Blodgett deposited monolayer film of stearic acid using scanning tunneling microscope in air. Carbon deposits build up underneath the tip for voltages with absolute value greater than 4 V. Using an atomic force image, lines 25 nm wide 60 period written. As confirmed Auger electron spectroscopy, unexposed can be removed chloroform soak without affecting existing carbon patterns, and no additional could then written because removal film.
