Analysis symmetry energies reveals decisive role V 3d orbital degrees freedom. Comparison to recent realistic many body calculations shows much k dependence...
Food and nutrition are a steadfast essential to all living organisms. With specific reference humans, the sufficient efficient supply of food is challenge as world population continues grow. Artificial Intelligence (AI) could be identified plausible technology in this 5th industrial revolution bringing us closer achieving zero hunger by 2030—Goal 2 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDG). This goal cannot achieved unless digital divide among developed underdeveloped countries...
Neural networks present characteristics where the results are strongly dependent on training data, weight initialisation, and hyperparameters chosen. The determination of distribution a statistical estimator, as Mean Squared Error (MSE) or accuracy, is fundamental to evaluate performance neural network model (NNM). For many machine learning models, linear regression, it possible analytically obtain information variance confidence intervals results. difficulty not being tractable due their...
One of the main challenges for olive oil producers is ability to assess quality regularly during production cycle. The evaluated through a series parameters that can be determined, up now, only multiple chemical analysis techniques. This requires samples sent approved laboratories, making control an expensive, time-consuming process, cannot performed and guarantee point it reaches consumer. work presents new approach fast based on low-cost instrumentation, which easily in field. proposed...
Extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) is the highest quality of and characterized by highly beneficial nutritional properties. The large increase in both consumption fraud, for example through adulteration, creates new challenges an increasing demand developing assessment methodologies that are easier cheaper to perform. As today, determination performed producers chemical analysis organoleptic evaluation. requires advanced equipment knowledge certified laboratories, has therefore limited...

The electron dynamics in the normal state of Bi(2)Sr(2)CaCu(2)O(8+delta) is studied by inelastic light scattering over a wide range doping. A strong anisotropy relaxation found which cannot be explained single-particle properties alone. results strongly indicate presence an unconventional quantum-critical metal-insulator transition where "hot" (antinodal) quasiparticles become insulating while "cold" (nodal) remain metallic. phenomenology developed allows quantitative understanding Raman and...
Inelastic light-scattering spectra of underdoped ${\mathrm{La}}_{2\ensuremath{-}x}{\mathrm{Sr}}_{x}{\mathrm{CuO}}_{4}$ single crystals are presented which provide direct evidence the formation quasi-one-dimensional charged structures in two-dimensional ${\mathrm{CuO}}_{2}$ planes. The stripes manifest themselves a Drude-like peak at low energies and temperatures. selection rules allow us to determine orientation be along diagonals $x=0.02$ principal axes $x=0.10$. electron-lattice...
The dataset presented in this study encompasses fluorescence excitation–emission matrices (EEMs) and UV-spectroscopy data of 24 extra virgin olive oils (EVOOs) commercially available at supermarkets Switzerland. To investigate the effect thermal degradation, samples were exposed to accelerated ageing 60 ∘C up 53 days. EEMs UV absorption parameters measured 10 steps. can be used, for example, predict one or multiple chemical classify based on their quality from spectra.
The (001) surface of silver (Ag) has been chosen as a simple and well known system for investigating the band mapping potential angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy in soft x-ray energy range. Low temperature data valence Ag have measured four different high symmetry directions reciprocal space. Furthermore, order to determine intrinsic limits this technique, issue phonon-assisted nondirect transitions is addressed, both function measuring incoming photon energy. experimental are...
This work systematically investigates the oxidation of extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) under accelerated storage conditions with UV absorption and total fluorescence spectroscopy. With large amount data collected, it proposes a method to monitor oil's quality based on machine learning (ML) applied highly-aggregated data. EVOO is high-quality vegetable that has earned worldwide reputation for its numerous health benefits excellent taste. Despite outstanding quality, degrades over time due...
We have performed an angle resolved photoemission study on a single crystal of the optimally electron doped (n-type) cuprate superconductor Nd2-xCexCuO4 (x=0.15) at photon energy 400 eV. The Fermi surface is mapped out and is, in agreement with earlier measurements, hole-type expected Luttinger volume. However, comparing previous low we observe different shape distribution spectral intensity around contour. observed indicates stronger correlation bulk as compared to surface.
Raman and infrared (IR) spectra of an underdoped ${\mathrm{La}}_{1.90}{\mathrm{Sr}}_{0.10}{\mathrm{CuO}}_{4}$ single crystal have been measured as a function temperature. Both techniques provide unconventional low-energy spectra. The IR conductivity exhibits features peaked at finite frequencies which do not counterpart in the response. Below approximately 100 K transfer both spectral weight towards lower energies is found new component response builds up being characterized by very long...
Phosphors based on magnesium titanate activated with Mn 4 + ions are of great interest because, when excited blue light, they display a strong red-emitting luminescence. They characterized by luminescence decay which is strongly temperature dependent in the range from -50 ∘ C to 150 C, making these materials very promising for sensing biochemical field. In this work, optical and thermal properties Mg 2 TiO investigated different doping concentrations. The potential material demonstrated...
