Two-dimensional conformal field theories exhibit a universal free energy in the high temperature limit T → ∞, and spectrum Cardy regime, Δ ∞. We show that much stronger form of universality holds with large central charge c sparse light spectrum. In these theories, is at all values temperature, microscopic matches entropy for $$ \Delta \ge \frac{c}{6} . The same true three-dimensional quantum gravity; therefore our results provide simple necessary sufficient criteria 2d CFTs to behave...

The plants Salix viminalis L. (common osier) and Thlaspi caerulescens J. Presl & C. have been studied often because of their high potential to extract heavy metals from soils. soil properties favoring this phytoextraction are not yet fully known. In study we compared three frequently used single-extracting agents (NaNO3, diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid [DTPA], ethylenediaminetetra-acetic [EDTA]) with a sequential extraction procedure describe changes in the different Cd, Cu, Zn pools...

Modular invariance strongly constrains the spectrum of states two dimensional conformal field theories. By summing over images modular group, we construct candidate CFT partition functions that are invariant and have positive spectrum. This allows us to efficiently extract constraints on imposed by invariance, giving information goes beyond Cardy growth asymptotic density states. Some gaps size (c-1)/12, proving this smaller consistent with invariance. We also revisit function pure Einstein...

The hypothesis that every theory of quantum gravity in AdS_3 is a dimensional reduction string/M-theory leads to natural conjecture for the density states two CFTs with large central charge limit. We prove this 2D which are orbifolds by permutation groups. In particular, we characterize those groups give well-defined N limits and can thus serve as holographic duals bulk theories AdS_3. then show dual orbifold will have Hagedorn spectrum This evidence that, within landscape, semi-classical...

We introduce a test setup for the extraction of unique identifiers and random bits using DRAM. By utilizing standard 512 MByte DDR3 modules, 400 bit/s can be generated are extracted. show that DRAM used as physically unclonable function. In contrast to SRAM-based PUF, PUF allow repeated operations without disconnecting supply voltage while still remaining fully functional normal storage operations.

We compute genus two partition functions in dimensional conformal field theories at large central charge, focusing on surfaces that give the third Rényi entropy of intervals. We this for generalized free and symmetric orbifolds, compare it to result pure gravity. We find a new phase transition if theory contains light operator dimension ∆ ≤ 0.19.This means particular unlike second entropy, one is no longer universal.
