The aim of this article is to examine the reasons why cryptocurrency volatility hinders its potential replace fiat money as legal tender. We focus on Bitcoin and Ethereum for analysis. By applying an augmented Dickey-Fuller stationarity test, we demonstrate that cryptocurrencies lack a long-term trend; instead, their movement erratic highly volatile. Furthermore, eGARCH models indicate tends decrease expected persist in pattern. In summary, theoretical empirical analysis suggests that, due...

Since the Three Mile Island accident, an important focus of pressurized water reactor (PWR) transient analyses has been a small-break loss-of-coolant accident (SBLOCA). In 2002, discovery thinning vessel head wall at Davis Besse nuclear power plant indicated possibility SBLOCA in upper as result circumferential cracking control rod drive mechanism penetration nozzle—which cast even greater importance on study SBLOCAs. Several experimental tests have performed Large Scale Test Facility to...

AP1000® is a Generation III+ reactor in which all safety systems relay on passive elements. AP1000 containment includes an In-containment Refueling Water Storage Tank (IRWST), stainless steel liner that acts as heat sink, and Passive Residual Heat Removal System (PRHRS). In Design Basis Accident (DBA) these components are involved the evolution of accident interact between each other. It more difficult to model comparison other nuclear containments. The DBA modelling has been historically...

This document explores the role of CFD in nuclear safety studies, with a particular focus on advancements Spain and Portugal. The field has increasingly included models to address complex safety–critical phenomena, given their ability capture three-dimensional behavior high resolution. While traditional one-dimensional codes remain very valuable, they often rely conservative approximations, making 3D approaches indispensable for accurate predictions across various scenarios. In context...
