Heavy metal pollution is a significant environmental concern in Nigeria, posing risks to ecological integrity and public health. This study aims evaluate the existing policies regulations addressing heavy pollution, assess their effectiveness, propose recommendations for improvement. The analysis reveals that while Nigeria has established robust legislative framework, challenges implementation, enforcement, funding persist. impact of reducing influenced by resource constraints, limited...

Knowledge on forced magma injection and flow in dykes is crucial for the understanding of how magmas migrate through crust to Earth's surface. Because many questions still persist, we used long, thick, deep‐seated Foum Zguid dyke (Morocco) investigate emplacement internal by means magnetic methods, structural analysis, petrography, scanning electron microscopy. We also investigated host rocks accommodated intrusion. Regarding flow: 1. Important variations rock properties fabric occur with...

We present a palaeomagnetic study on 38 lava flows and 20 dykes encompassing the past 1.3 Myr S. Jorge Island (Azores Archipelago-North Atlantic Ocean). The sections sampled in southeastern central/western parts of island record reversed normal polarities, respectively. They indicate mean pole (81.3°N, 160.7°E, K= 33 A95= 3.4°) with latitude shallower than that expected from Geocentric Axial Dipole assumption, suggesting an effect non-dipolar components Earth magnetic field. Virtual...

Palaeomagnetic dating techniques have been applied to determine the age of fluid migration that produced Mississippi Valley-type (MVT) Pb–Zn–Ba–F deposits in Cévennes region southern France. 15 sampling sites two gently deformed areas around Largentière and Croix-de-Pallières mines on border were selected for palaeomagnetic study. They yielded a very well-defined direction remagnetization corresponding an Early-Middle Eocene age. This cannot be related formation magnetite as result...

We report a survey carried out on basalt flows from Amsterdam Island in order to check the presence of intermediate directions interpreted belong geomagnetic field excursion within Brunhes epoch, completing this paleomagnetic record with paleointensity determinations and radiometric dating. The directional results corroborate findings by Watkins Nougier (1973) : normal polarity is found for two units an direction, associated VGPs close equator, other units. A notable result that these...
