Understanding how an individual animal is able to navigate through its environment a key question in movement ecology that can give insight into observed patterns and the mechanisms behind them. Efficiency of navigation important for behavioral processes at range different spatio-temporal scales, including foraging migration. Random walk models provide standard framework modeling navigation. Here we consider vector-weighted biased correlated random (BCRW) model directed (taxis), where...

Introduction/Background
The approval of poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase inhibitors (PARPi) as first-line maintenance (1LM) provided a new frontline treatment option for patients with advanced ovarian cancer (aOC) in the UK. objective this real-world study was to describe patient characteristics and patterns pre- post-2018 examine how 1LM PARPi changed aOC landscape England.
Methodology
This retrospective used anonymized electronic health record-derived data from UK Arcturis set...

e20025 Background: It is increasingly challenging and ethically questionable to recruit patients on control arms when a vast body of information readily available through electronic health records (EHR). Synthetic Control Arms (SCA) may reduce the time cost running trial, ultimately alleviate patient burden. This study explores potential SCAs derived from EHR provide additional support for trials investigating treatment efficacy in multiple myeloma (MM). Methods: De-identified UK NHS trust...

Biomedical research is increasingly employing real world evidence (RWE) to foster discoveries of novel clinical phenotypes and better characterize long term effect medical treatments. However, due limitations inherent in the collection process, RWE often lacks key features patients, particularly when these cannot be directly encoded using data standards such as ICD-10. Here we propose a data-driven statistical machine learning approach, named Feature Imputation via Local Likelihood (FILL),...
