We report the confirmation and characterization of four hot Jupiter-type exoplanets initially detected by TESS: TOI-1295 b, TOI-2580 TOI-6016 TOI-6130 b. Using observations with high-resolution echelle spectrograph MaHPS on 2.1 m telescope at Wendelstein Observatory, together NEID Kitt Peak National Observatory TRES Fred Lawrence Whipple we confirmed planetary nature these planet candidates. also performed precise mass measurements. All planets are found to be Jupiters orbital periods...
Since Robert Millikan discovered the quantization of electric charge and measured its fundamental value over 90 years ago, his oil-drop experiment has become essential in physics laboratory classes at both high school college level. As instructors, however, many us have used traditional setup experienced tedium collecting data frustration students who obtain disappointing results for charges on individual oil drops after two or three hours hard work. Some novel approaches been developed to...
A system with intriguing oscillatory behavior is created using small magnets fixed to the edges of parallel rotating structures. Under certain conditions a two rotors will exchange velocities repeatedly in manner similar many coupled-oscillator systems, but without oscillations their position. Simulation simple model consisting magnetic dipoles on common axis rotation yields results that closely match experimental data.
