Based on the well-known low-density expansion for ground-state energy per particle of a many-fermion system interacting pairwise via central potential we develop perturbation scheme in which zero-order state is that purely-repulsive-spheres fluid. For hard-core plus square-well pair-interaction case have deduced, two-species fermion matter, formulas up to sixth order attractive coupling parameter. We explicitly report results fourth here. Pad\'e-approximant analyses density are carried out...

Cooper pairing in two dimensions is analyzed with a set of renormalized equations to determine its binding energy for any fermion number density and all coupling assuming generic pairwise residual interfermion interaction. \ Also considered are pairs (CPs) nonzero center-of-mass momentum (CMM)--usually neglected BCS theory--and their expanded analytically powers the CMM up quadratic terms. A Fermi-sea-dependent {\it linear} term dominates pair excitation weak (also called regime) while more...

It is shown that the highest order Padé approximants based on known virial expansion in powers of density for a classical gas hard spheres are consistent with empitical value random close packing where pressure diverges. (AIP)

We address the question of whether superfluidity can survive in case fermion pairing between different species with mismatched Fermi surfaces using as an example a population-imbalanced mixture $^{6}\mathrm{Li}$ atomic gas loaded two-dimensional optical lattice at nonzero temperatures. The collective mode is calculated from Bethe-Salpeter equations general random phase approximation assuming Fulde-Ferrell order parameter. numerical solution shows that, addition to low-energy (Goldstone)...

We study fermion pairing in a population-imbalanced mixture of ${}^{6}$Li atomic gas loaded three-dimensional lattice at very low temperatures. Using the number equation for each population, gap equation, and Helmholtz free energy, we determine gap, chemical potentials, pair-momentum as functions polarization. These parameters define stability regions Fulde-Ferrell-Larkin-Ovchinnikov phase, phase separation region where Bardeen-Cooper-Schrieffer normal phases coexist, Sarma when vanishes,...

Using computer algebraic symbolic manipulation techniques, we rearrange the ideal-gas-based low-density expansions for ground-state energy of a many-fermion and many-boson system interacting via arbitrary pair central forces, into repulsive-core-fluid-based perturbation expansion. Applications through second order are reported liquid $^{4}\mathrm{He}$ $^{3}\mathrm{He}$.

We obtain the thermodynamic properties for a noninteracting Bose gas constrained on multilayers modeled by periodic Kronig-Penney delta potential in one direction and allowed to be free other two directions. report Bose-Einstein condensation (BEC) critical temperatures, chemical potential, internal energy, specific heat, entropy different values of dimensionless impenetrability $P\ensuremath{\geqslant}0$ between layers. A perturbation scheme based not on the ideal gas but a system of purely repulsive cores is applied to typical fully interacting fermion gas. This ``neutron matter'' via (a) ``Bethe homework-problem'' potential, (b) hard-core--plus--square-well and (c) Baker-Hind-Kahane modification latter, suitable for describing more accurate two-nucleon potential. Pad\'e extrapolation techniques generalizations thereof are employed represent both density dependence as well attractive coupling expansion....

The question posed is examined within the context of two simple models, Ford problem and van der Waals equation, both which possess phases: (i) a low-density phase for all virial coefficients in density power-series expansion are known (ii) high-density ‘‘condensed’’ phase. Padé extrapolation techniques applied to series an attempt predict condensed branch.
