Eight new ruthenium complexes of clotrimazole (CTZ) with high antiparasitic activity have been synthesized, cis,fac-[Ru(II)Cl(2)(DMSO)(3)(CTZ)] (1), cis,cis,trans-[Ru(II)Cl(2)(DMSO)(2)(CTZ)(2)] (2), Na[Ru(III)Cl(4)(DMSO)(CTZ)] (3), Na[trans-Ru(III)Cl(4)(CTZ)(2)] (4), [Ru(II)(η(6)-p-cymene)Cl(2)(CTZ)] (5), [Ru(II)(η(6)-p-cymene)(bipy)(CTZ)][BF(4)](2) (6), [Ru(II)(η(6)-p-cymene)(en)(CTZ)][BF(4)](2) (7), and [Ru(II)(η(6)-p-cymene)(acac)(CTZ)][BF(4)] (8) (bipy = bipyridine; en ethlylenediamine;...
Biochemical recognition processes mediated through pi-stacking interactions are a potential target for rational drug synthesis. A combination of electrostatic, hydrophobic, solvation, charge-transfer, induction, and dispersion has been used to account the three-dimensional arrangements observed in such motifs. principal example involves interaction purine pyrimidine rings nucleic acids with aromatic amino-acid residues as tryptophan, phenylalanine, tyrosine. Protonation, alkylation, or...
The interaction of the complexes [Pd(dien)(1-MeCyt)]2+ (2) and [Pd(dien)(9-EtGH)]2+ (3) with amino acids l-tryptophan (Trp) N-acetyltryptophan (N-AcTrp) was studied compared previously platinum analogues [Pt(dien)(1-MeCyt)]2+ (4) [Pt(dien)(9-EtGH)]2+ (5). Solid-state structures for 2 4 are reported. For palladium complexes, is pH sensitive. Below 5, noncovalent stacking between aromatic acid residue metalated nucleobase observed. Fluorescence quenching experiments indicated similar...
Abstract Ketoconazole (KTZ) has been used as a second‐line agent in hormone‐refractory cancer therapy. Since transition metal complexes including those of Ru(III), show important anticancer activity with limited toxicity, we investigated the potential antitumor efficacy Ru(II) complexed to KTZ or clotrimazole (CTZ) compared alone uncomplexed azoles. RuCl 2 exerted greater apoptosis‐ associated caspase‐3 activation than , KTZ, CTZ (MeCN) 4 against several human tumor cell monolayers. PARP...
Fluorescence quenching experiments show that the stacking interaction between nucleic acid bases and l-tryptophan is enhanced significantly upon base coordination to a metal center such as Pt(II), biological implications of enhancement are discussed.
The automation of quality control methods used for release [18F]fluoride-labeled radiotracers is a logical next step increasing reliability and decreasing exposure in day-to-day clinical manufacture. In this work we evaluate the suitability six key tests: Radiochemical purity identity, determination pH, kryptofix residual solvents, as well filter membrane integrity test. Results obtained [18F]FDG, proof concept, were comparable to certified standards conventional following both USP EP...
A new and versatile method for 2,2,2-cryptand determination in [18F]-labeled radiotracers is described. Proof of concept applicability the test commercial radiotracer [18F]-FDG model compounds FLT FMISO were also proven.
The crystal structure of the title compound, [Ru(CH3CN)6][ZnCl4]·2.55H2O, consists [Ru(CH3CN)6]2+ units (with Ru atom in a slightly distorted octahedral environment coordinated by six acetonitrile ligands) and [ZnCl4]2− moieties Zn tetrahedral environment). one Zn—Cl bond axes lie on threefold axis, N—Ru—N angles are 89.2 (2) 90.3 (2)°, Cl—Zn—Cl 111.42 (6) 107.44 (6)°.
In the title compound, [RuCl(2)(C(42)H(42)NP(3))] x 2.5CHCl(3) H(2)O, Ru atom is six-coordinated, to one tetradentate tris(diphenylphosphinoethyl)amine ligand and two Cl atoms, in a distorted octahedral arrangement. Molecules of chloroform water stabilize framework through intermolecular hydrogen bonds.
Background and Objective: The hypoxia PET tracer, 1-[18F]fluoro-3-(2-nitro-1Himidazol- 1-yl)-propan-2-ol ([18F]FMISO) is the first radiotracer developed for imaging has shown promising cancer diagnosis prognosis. However, access to [18F]FMISO limited due needed cyclotron radiochemistry expertise. study aimed develop automated production method on with novel fully platform of BG75 system validate its usage animal tumor models. Method: was produced dose synthesis cartridge automatically...
In this work, two fast and highly sensitive analytical methods, based on UV-VIS spectroscopy, were adapted for its use the determination of specific activity (SA) Tellurium (IV) concentration, in 124I- solutions produced by 124Te(p,n)124I reaction. The analyzed showed high (209 - 216 Ci/mg) Te(IV) contents below regulatory acceptable limit (1 ppm).
