Thin-film solar cells suffer from various types of recombination, which leakage current usually dominates at lower voltages. Herein, we demonstrate first a three-order reduction the shunt loss mechanism in planar methylammonium lead iodide perovskite by replacing commonly used hole transport layer poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrenesulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS) with better hole-selective polyarylamine. As result, these exhibit superior operation under reduced light conditions, for extreme...

Photovoltaics (PV) is an attractive candidate for powering the rapidly growing market of smart devices in Internet-of-Things (IoT) such as sensors, actuators, and wearables. Using solar cells rechargeable batteries to power IoT avoids expensive replacement disposable reduces environmental impact. are often operated indoors under artificial light, which differs from (outdoor) sunlight it a much narrower, mainly visible spectrum with typically factor 500–1000 lower intensity. In this work,...

Perovskite solar cell technology is fast approaching its first commercial deployment, with the 10‐year mark since research having passed recently. Commercial entrance seems very tangible, but there are a number of remaining challenges related to various economic and technical factors. Conventional photovoltaic markets, such as utility scale photovoltaics, quite rigid demanding for new entrant. Perovskites offer several value propositions, which monetization prospects in near future, if...

Abstract Perovskite Solar Cells (PSCs) are well known for their high efficiencies under 1 sun (AM1.5G), however, PSC can also generate power by harvesting the low‐light available indoors. Here, three flexible architectures presented indoor applications: with a metal electrode aiming efficiency; carbon stability and compatibility large‐scale production; hole transport material (HTM)‐free simplifying fabrication process. A maximum efficiency of 30.9% (30.0%) 1000 lux (200 lux) is obtained gold...

Italy's Margins explores how certain places and social groups in Italy have been defined as marginal or peripheral since unification. This marginalization involves not only concrete policies but also ways of perceiving people outside society's centre. The author looks closely at photography writing supported political exclusion and, conversely, they enlisted to challenge it. Five cases are examined: the peripheries major cities after unification; its East African colonies 1930s; less...
