As the demand for wood and wood-based resources keeps outstripping its regeneration, forests are depleting rapidly. To curtail this, it is imperative to shift towards use of alternative raw materials such as agricultural residues. This study entails development lignocellulosic-plastic composites from Rice Husk (RH) Recycled Low-Density Polyethylene (RLDPE) binder with potential augmenting composites. Herein, RH was milled, graded into two particle sizes (2 mm 4 mm), mixed RLDPE at ratios (40...

Abstract Noise is an unwanted sound which mostly produced by the machines, transportation systems, engines, aircraft, etc. pollution third resource that has greatly placed adverse effect on environment, human health economy. As a result, it became imperative to develop absorption medium could minimize aforementioned effects. In this study, orange peels and sachet water bags were used composite material. The materials (i.e. peel bags) prepared into six samples (that 280g of 120g...

Non-phosphate builders which are environmentally friendly required for use in detergent formulation to replace the sodium tri-poly phosphate (STPP). Phosphates excellent fertilizer algae, bacteria, and other flora fauna rivers, lakes oceans, making them bloom at very rapid rates. This exhausts oxygen supply both surface bottom layers of water bodies, leading death fishes. Sodium metasilicate a non-phosphate builder from Lokoja Quartzite was used formulate biodegradable synthetic using 25%,...

Improper handling of wastewater from various industries causes environmental pollution. Hence, this study involved using a reactivated spent FCC catalyst, cheap and reliable adsorbent for Pb2+ removal refinery-based simulated wastewater. In contrast, response surface methodology (RSM) was used to determine the optimum operating condition. The adsorptive capacity catalyst observed different parameters such as temperature, pH, dosage, contact time. At end study, it found that condition...
