Hydrometallurgical recovery of zinc from electric arc furnace dust was investigated on a laboratory scale, using aqueous sodium hydroxide solution as leaching agent. Special attention paid to the effect NaOH concentration, temperature and liquid/solid phase ratio leachability. It found that all tested factors increased leachability, with maximum efficiency 88% obtained in 6 M at 80 °C 40. The test results confirmed high selectivity In spite this, complete steelmaking has proved be very...
The article presents the results of research on influence plastic deformation microstructure and tensile strength Haynes 282 nickel superalloy produced by direct metal laser sintering (DMLS) a conventional technique (casting). Samples were tested for dimensional accuracy using 3D scanner. Then, samples subjected to rolling. microstructures DMLS as-cast analysed scanning electron microscope. properties determined in static test. Microhardness measurements also performed. Based analysis...
Recent work indicates that the high-velocity oxy-fuel (HVOF) thermal spraying WC–Co coatings have been used to enhance wear resistance of various engineering components in a variety industrial environments. In present work, powder, containing Cr particles an amount 10%, was deposited on ductile cast iron with HVOF spray coating technique. An investigation conducted determine role produced technique microstructure, mechanical, and properties system type: WC-Co coating/ductile iron. The...
Ensuring adequate reliability of the production process packaging closures has made it necessary to study effect annealing and varnishing variants on strength structural properties stock material. As a test material, EN AW-5052-H28 aluminium alloy sheets with thickness 0.21 mm were used. The surface treatment material involved sheet metal using various varnishes soaking metal. coefficient friction abrasion resistance coatings determined T-21 ball-and-disc tribotester. tested subjected...
The paper presents the results of friction stir processing (FSP) process cast aluminium alloy AlSi9Mg.The studies included a modification microstructure in grain refinement, elimination voids and production composite material AlSi9Mg + Re.Rhenium is famous for its refractory character, high density as well hardness. It known alloying element improvement strength, plasticity, weldability, reduction degree recrystallization embrittlement mainly W, Mo Ni based alloys.Re used superalloys...
The effect of plasma gases (argon, helium) on the structure and properties WC-CrC-Ni coatings deposited at graphite substrate has been investigated. were by spraying method in equipment Cham Pro –Thermal Spray Systems produced Sulzer company. microstructure investigated light microscopy (MO) scanning electron (SEM). performed investigations have shown that with increasing amounts argon reducing volumes helium nitrogen, microhardnees increased. also influenced porosity coatings. Keywords:...
The effect of the addition glassy carbon on structure and properties ZrO 2 -Y O coatings deposited at graphite substrate has been investigated. were by plasma spraying method in an industrial company Plasma System SA Silesian Siemianowice using MIM40 equipment. microstructure was investigated light microscopy (MO), scanning electron (SEM) transmission (TEM). Abrasion carried out with use tribological tester Ducom pin-on-disc method. results investigations showed that into materials increased...
The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence synthesis parameters and surface finish on corrosion DMLS-printed M300 steel components evaluate their applicability in corrosive environments. In order assess environment, potentiodynamic long-term tests were carried out study, together with microscopic EDS studies 3D-printed samples synthetized using DMLS method different laser powers. results show that DMLS-produced is vulnerable effect power used resistance also demonstrated,...
This paper presents the results of a pilot application Powder-Bed Fusion Metals Using Laser (PBF-LB/M) for fabrication M300 (1.2709) maraging steel sheet metal bending tools. S235 was used as substrate punches. The main goal research to determine usability such tools without heat treatment, which would contribute increase in cost tool production. Industrial tests were conducted during forming Inconel 625 and AW-6061 T0 aluminium alloy sheets. punches subjected surface roughness, hardness,...
In the present work, microstructure, phase composition and microhardness of Cr3C2-NiCr, WCCo, powdered composite NiCrSiBCr10%,Fe2.5%,Si3.1%,Bi2.1%C; NiCrSiBFe5; NiCrSiBCr5; NiCrSiBFe2.5Cr2.5; HVOF coatings applied on Al-Si substrate have been compared. The coating cross-sections were examined by optical microscopy (OM), scanning electron (SEM) transmission (TEM). For hard Cr3C2-NiCr WC-Co coatings, a total level about 860 1240 HV, respectively, was obtained. essentially lower comprised in...
The paper presents the results of studies protective coatings for graphite moulds, which were used in copper casting process. following involved: Mo, NiAl, NiCrAl, Cr 3 C 2 -NiCr, WC-CrC-Ni. All tested applied on substrate by plasma spraying method. microstructure was investigated optical microscopy (OM) and scanning electron (SEM). microhardness measured Vickers wettability liquid evaluated. It found that NiAl NiCrAl had highest limiting wetting angle consequently lowest among all examined...
This article presents results from the studies of protective coatings applied to industrial graphite molds used for casting non-ferrous metals. The selection was based on measurements surface wettability by liquid copper and microstructure examinations. study involved with single-layer Al2O3 + 30%C ZrO2-Y2O3 as well two-layer /glassy carbon carbon.
The paper describes the research of coatings on AK9 aluminum alloy substrate and hybrid deposited graphite substrate. Coatings were by thermal spraying PVD method (physical vapour deposition). Hybrid consisting a tungsten interlayer an external layer Zr + DLC (diamond-like carbon) CVD surface. Plasma methods—PVD CVD—were used. structure composition analyzed.
Abstract The present study attempts to apply HE 99.99% pure copper. microstructure of the samples was investigated by both light microscopy and scanning transmission electron (STEM). Additionally, microhardness measured, tensile test made, statistical analysis grains subgrains performed. Based on Kikuchi diffraction patterns, misorientation determined. obtained results show that copper deformed hydrostatic extrusion (HE) is rather inhomogeneous. regions strongly with high dislocation density...
