After casting, metal ingots may contain voids of different shapes and sizes which need to be eliminated in order deliver a sound material. Hot forming processes are regularly used the industry reach this goal, but calibration these get complete closure internal is still an issue. Existing models literature either based on explicit full-field approaches or micro-analytical approaches. Both have significant limitations regarding industrial issues. A new multiscale approach thus proposed here....

The high temperature range for steel semi-solid state makes the experiments particularly challenging. While response under shear or compression loadings was studied, few results concerned tensile loading. In this paper, an experimental protocol determined to characterize uniaxial of so-called C38 LTT with a Gleeble simulator. specimen heated by Joule heating effect at around 10°C/s. measured during tests using ultraviolet pyrometer. variation in both ductility and strength material has been...
