Abnormalities of platelet haemostasis pose increased risk to patients undergoing anaesthesia and surgery. We have investigated the effect propofol on aggregation in 12 upper lower abdominal Propofol 2.5 mg kg-1 was administered via a cannula antecubital vein. Venous blood samples were obtained before induction 10 min after administration propofol. Platelet measurements made for adenosine diphosphate (ADP), collagen adrenaline. The results show that does not affect concentrations used.

Objective: Adductor spasm can occur during transurethral resection of bladder tumour (TUR-BT) due to the stimulation obturator nerve and cause involuntary movement legs, incomplete resection, perforation secondary extravesical dissemination neoplastic cells. In this study we aimed prevent adductor associated complications by block with levobupivacain in patients spinal anesthesia TUR-BT for lateral wall tumors bladder. Material Methods: Sixty 18-80 year-old patients, graded as ASA (American...

Background & Objectives: Meperidine is accepted as the gold standard in treatment of postoperative shivering which often seen following anesthesia1,2. The aim this study to investigate effects meperidine, ketamine and tramadol on prevention postanesthesia (PAS), their analgesic efficiency sedation levels. Materials Methods: Ninety patients were included randomised prospective double blind study. During closure surgical wound, Group M (n=30) given meperidine 0.3 mg/kg, K 0.25 mg/kg T 1mg/kg...

Summary— The effect of atropine (1–10 μ‐kg‐ 1 ) on neuromuscular transmission in humans was studied by analysing its effects the amplitude indirectly‐elicited twitch (0.2 Hz) and tetanic (50 100 Hz for s duration) contractions. Six patients, free from any disorders, undergoing orthopaedic surgery, were included present study. patients received either no premedication or oral benzodiazepine, temazepam, 30 mg 1–2 h pre‐operatively. Anaesthesia induced with propofol (1–2 mg‐kg‐ , i.v., over 20...

In the present investigation, we studied and measured phenomenon of tetanic fade peak tension depression in rat diaphragm preparation presence a blocking concentration atracurium (e.g., 10 μmol.l ‐1 ). Atracurium (10 ) produced pronounced (i.e., 47–69% reduction total sustained tension) at time (15 s) when it reduced by only 25%. The course for was 30–35 s, whereas taken complete 3‐3.5 min, suggesting that two effects were via different mechanisms, involving presynaptic postsynaptic...

The effect of atropine (0.001-10 mumol.l-1) on neuromuscular transmission in the rat hemidiaphragm preparation was investigated by analysing its effects directly and indirectly-elicited twitch, tetanic, post-tetanic twitch responses phenomenon potentiation. contractions produced endogenous acetylcholine (ACh) or exogenous ACh (added into organ bath containing muscle) studied ileum. results showed that low concentrations (1 mumol.l-1 less), enhanced tetanic diaphragm preparation. mean EC50...
