In this paper, we discuss in detail the local stability, Hopf bifurcation and pitchfork of an inertial two-neuron system with time delays by applying second-order approximation approach analyzing associated transcendental equation, respectively. Comparison has been made between two methods. Numerical results have presented to verify analytical predictions.
