N-Heterocyclic Olefin (NHO) with high electronegativity at the terminal carbon atom was found to show a strong tendency for CO2 sequestration, affording adduct (NHO-CO2). X-ray single crystal analysis revealed bent geometry of binding in NHO-CO2 adducts an O-C-O angle 127.7-129.9°, dependent on substitute groups N-heterocyclic ring. The length C(carboxylate)-C(NHO) bond is range 1.55-1.57 Å, significantly longer than that C(carboxylate)-C(NHC) (1.52-1.53 Å) previously reported NHC-CO2...

N-Heterocyclic carbene (NHC) functionalized MCM-41 was synthesized by reacting 1,3-bis-(4-allyl-2,6-diisopropylphenyl) imidazolium chloride with using 3-mercaptopropyltrimethoxysilane as silane coupling agent, and its CO2 adduct (designated MCM-41-IPr-CO2) further the reaction CO2. In situdiffuse reflectance infrared Fourier transform spectroscopy (DRIFTS) used to investigate reversible capture-release ability of MCM-41-NHC. MCM-41-IPr-CO2 proved be an efficient heterogeneous catalyst for...

Abstract Chiral chromium complexes of tetradentate N , ′‐disubstituted bis(aminophenoxide) (designated as Salan, a saturated version Schiff‐base Salen ligand) in conjunction with an ionic quaternary ammonium salt can efficiently catalyze the copolymerization CO 2 racemic propylene oxide ( rac ‐PO) at mild conditions to selectively afford completely alternating poly(propylene carbonate) (PPC) ∼ 95% head‐to‐tail linkages and moderate enantioselectivity. These new catalyst systems predominantly...

The alkyl chain length of hydrophobic monomers significantly influences the properties associative polymers. In this study, four with varying lengths were copolymerized acrylamide, using inverse emulsion polymerization method. Four polyacrylamides successfully synthesized and characterized infrared spectroscopy, nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), radius gyration detection, they compared (PAMs) (without monomers). Polymer morphology was analyzed scanning electron microscopy, while rheological...

The immobilization of homogeneous catalysts is a continuing goal for combining the advantages both and heterogeneous catalysis. However, significant loss in catalytic activity often found catalyst. Herein, we report novel strategy consisting multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) functionalized with that are developed to combine positive aspects solid soluble supports. Using oxidation alcohols as model reaction, supported (MWNTs–TEMPO) can be homogeneously dispersed reaction medium conquer...
