In photosynthesis, pigment-protein complexes achieve outstanding photoinduced charge separation efficiencies through a set of strategies in which excited states delocalization over multiple pigments ("excitons") and charge-transfer play key roles. These concepts, their implementation bioinspired artificial systems, are attracting increasing attention due to the vast potential that could be tapped by realizing efficient photochemical reactions. particular, de novo designed proteins provide...

Laser interaction whitthe gas phase nucleobase adenine is studied. A linear TOF mass spectrometer utilized for measurements that require high resolution, sensitivity, and sufficient ion yields of low fragment cations. The spectra are discussed at different laser energy intensities two temperatures. In contrast to previous studies a number light present in the spectra. formation curves 23 ions measured range from about 109 1010 W cm–2 masses between 1 43 besides 57 which was will be discuss....

Time of flight laser photoionization has been used to study the response some molecules biological interest under radiation. One questions great today is effect radiation on DNA and RNA molecules. Damage these can be caused directly by or indirectly secondary electrons created As field fragmentation process occur producing different ions with kinetic energies a few electron volts. In this paper we present results interaction 355nm nitrogen bases adenine(A) uracil(U) using time-of-flight...

Synopsis Dissociation and ionization of adenine uracil were investigated in the multiphoton absorption re-gime using laser pulse at 355nm conjunction with TOF mass spectrometry reflectron mode (R-TOF). In contrast previous investigations where a notorious amount low ions was detected arising from both molecules.

In this work, the effect of radiation on multiphoton ionization/dissociation furan was studied at a wavelength 532 and 355 nm. The relative abundance ions produced is presented for each wavelengths, where it´s observed that ion m/z = 26 (C2H2+) most abundant nm father 68 (C4H4O+) nm, which differs from work previously done using different ionization methods. fragmentation mechanisms suggest isomerization molecule occurs while it gets breaks-down into smaller fragments, in included migrations...
