This study was performed to evaluate whether a triple dose of gadolinium-DTPA (Gd-DTPA) increases the sensitivity brain MRI for detecting enhancing lesions in patients with primary progressive multiple sclerosis (PPMS). T1 weighted obtained 10 PPMS two sessions. In first session, one scan five seven minutes after injection 0.1 mmol/kg Gd-DTPA (standard dose). second six 24 hours later, before and scans hour 0.3 (triple dose) were obtained. Four detected when standard used. The numbers...

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a neurological disorder characterized by immune dysregulation. It begins with first clinical manifestation, clinically isolated syndrome (CIS), which evolves to definite MS in case of further and/or neuroradiological episodes. Here we evaluated the diagnostic value transcriptional alterations and CIS blood machine learning (ML). Deep sequencing more than 200 RNA samples comprising CIS, healthy subjects, generated transcriptomes that were analyzed binary...

Objective: We used double inversion recovery (DIR) and diffusion tensor (DT) MRI to quantify tissue damage in cortical lesions (CLs) the apparently normal gray matter (GM) patients with MS at different stages of disease. Background DIR sequences allow vivo visualization a proportion CLs their application has demonstrated that occur all major disease clinical phenotypes. Design/Methods: Brain DIR, DT 3D T 1 -weighted scans were acquired from 35 relapsing remitting (RR), 23 secondary...

Objective: To determine the prevalence of stress reported as a migraine trigger in pediatric population and to describe role different factors. We also evaluate influence on age, gender, headache subtype, psicosocial variables. Background Stress is frequently trigger, both adult sufferes, but not clearly characterized population. Design/Methods: Through semi-structured interview, parents 150 out-patients assessed at San Raffaele Hospital one year, were asked provide detailed clinical history...

Objective: To provide and update of the Italian chROnic migraiNe registry (IRON Registry) Background: The IRON Registry, launched in 2014, is aimed to disentangle chronic migraine (CM) endophenotypes assess patient’s journey, treatment health care resource use. Design/Methods: We enrolled all consecutive CM outpatients visited 24 headache centers from 01/3/2018 10/10/2019. Detailed information were gathered with face-to-face interviews using a shared semi-structured web-based questionnaire....
