In this study, Raman, infrared, UV/vis, NMR, and single crystal X-ray diffraction spectroscopies are used to elucidate the tautomeric equilibrium of azo dyes derived from 1-phenyl-azo-2-naphthol (Sudan I). A new crystallographic structure is described for Sudan I, revealing presence intramolecular hydrogen bonds supramolecular interactions, such as unconventional C-H···O bond type, π-stacking, charge-dipole interactions. All these weak intermolecular interactions play a role in stability...
Chemical investigation of nonindigenous Tubastraea coccinea and T. tagusensis by Raman spectroscopy resulted in the identification carotenoids indolic alkaloids. Comparison data obtained for situ crude extracts has shown potential technique characterizing samples which are metabolic fingerprints, means band analysis. bands at ca. 1520, 1160, 1005 cm–1 assigned to ν1(C═C), ν2(C—C), ρ3(C—CH3) modes were attributed astaxanthin, 1665 could be ν(C—N), ν(C—O), ν(C—C) coupled mode...
In this study, experimental techniques including Raman, infrared and X-ray crystal diffraction, as well quantum chemistry calculations, are used to investigate two new azo dyes supramolecular complexes: 1-phenylazo-2-naphthol (Sudan I) with nickel(II) ion 1-(2,4-xylylazo)-2-naphthol II) copper(II) ion. The crystallographic structures have been solved for bis-1-(pheny-l-azo)-2-naphtholatenickel(II) bis-1-(2,4-xylylazo)-2-naphtholatecopper(II) complexes, revealing the presence of interactions,...
STRUCTURE AND PROPERTIES OF ELLIPTICINES.The ellipticines constitute a broad class of molecules with antitumor activity. In the present work we analyzed structure and properties series ellipticine derivatives in gas phase solution using quantum mechanical Monte Carlo methods. The results showed good correlation between solvation energies water obtained continuum model simulation.Molecular descriptors were considered development QSAR models DNA association constant (log K app ) as biological...
