We study the stellar population properties of IRAC-detected $6 \lesssim z 10$ galaxy candidates from Spitzer UltRa Faint SUrvey Program (SURFS UP). Using Lyman Break selection technique, we find a total 16 new at with $S/N \geq 3$ in least one IRAC $3.6\mu$m and $4.5\mu$m bands. According to best mass models available for surveyed clusters, these are magnified by factors $\sim 1.2$--$5.5$. that sample is likely not homogeneous population: some relatively massive (stellar as high $4 \times...
We undertook a multisite photometric campaign for the Beta Cephei star Nu Eridani. More than 600 hours of differential photoelectric uvyV photometry were obtained with 11 telescopes during 148 clear nights. The frequency analysis our measurements shows that variability Eri can be decomposed into 23 sinusoidal components, eight which correspond to independent pulsation frequencies between 5 - 8 c/d. Some these are arranged in multiplets, suggests rotational m-mode splitting nonradial modes as...
With low redshift probes reaching unprecedented precision, uncertainty of the CMB optical depth is expected to be limiting factor for future cosmological neutrino mass constraints. In this paper, we discuss what extent combinations lensing and galaxy surveys measurements at redshifts $z\sim 0.5-5$ will able make competitive without relying on any We find that combination LSST galaxies CMB-S4 should achieve constraints sum 25meV information, an independent measurement with or slightly better...
We report on the analysis of 436.1 hrs nearly continuous high-speed photometry pulsating DB white dwarf GD358 acquired with Whole Earth Telescope (WET) during 2006 international observing run, designated XCOV25. The Fourier transform (FT) light curve contains power between 1000 to 4000 microHz, dominant peak at 1234 microHz. find 27 independent frequencies distributed in 10 modes, as well numerous combination frequencies. Our discussion focuses a new asteroseismological GD358, incorporating...
With low-redshift probes reaching unprecedented precision, uncertainty of the cosmic microwave background (CMB) optical depth is expected to be limiting factor for future cosmological neutrino mass constraints. In this paper, we discuss what extent combinations CMB lensing and galaxy survey measurements at low redshifts $z\ensuremath{\sim}0.5--5$ will able make competitive without relying on any We find that combination LSST galaxies CMB-S4 should achieve constraints sum 25 meV information,...
We seek to clarify the origin of constraints on dark energy equation state parameter from CMB lensing tomography, that is combination galaxy clustering and cross-correlation galaxies with in a number redshift bins. In particular, we consider two-point correlation functions which can be formed catalog locations photometric redshifts Vera C. Rubin Observatory Legacy Survey Space Time (LSST) maps CMB-S4 experiment. focus analytic understanding constraints. Dark information these data arises...
The angular two-point correlation function of the temperature cosmic microwave background (CMB), as inferred from nearly all-sky maps, is very close to zero on large scales. A statistic invented quantify this feature, $S_{1/2}$, has a value sufficiently low that only about 7 in 1000 simulations generated assuming standard cosmological model have lower values; i.e., it $p$-value 0.007. As such, one several unusual features CMB sky scales, including observed quadrupole, whose importance...
