We test whether the relationship between subjective well-being (SWB) of European citizens and structure electricity supply has changed after Fukushima nuclear accident March 11, 2011. Survey data for about 124,000 individuals in 23 countries reveal that while citizens’ SWB was statistically unrelated to share power before disaster, it negatively related disaster. Taking as an indicator preference, this suggests existence induced transnational preference change.
