Abstract Mn 2+ and the trivalent europium (Eu 3+ )-doped MgGa 2 O 4 ceramics are characterized using a multi-experimental approach. The formation of spinel-structured is ascertained from X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis. Morphology investigations with transmission electron microscopy (TEM) show irregularly shaped grains grain boundaries homogeneous distribution Eu ions. inability activator to penetrate bulk ceramic inferred positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy data. doping shown...
Nano- and microceramics of Gd3Ga5O12 garnet doped with 1 mol % Tb3+ ions were synthesized via co-precipitation high-temperature solid-state reaction methods. X-ray diffraction measurements confirmed the formation structure Ia3d space group in all investigated samples. Atomic force microscopy surface images grain-size distribution diagrams Gd3Ga5O12: nanoceramics 300 400 g/mol polyethylene glycol (PEG) obtained. The relationship between content particle size phosphors was revealed. An intense...
Abstract The MgGa 2 O 4 ceramics co-doped with Mn 2+ and Eu 3+ ions were synthesized via a high-temperature solid-state reaction technique. samples various concentrations characterised using high-resolution photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy. PL spectra show weak matrix emission in blue spectral region dominant excitation band around 380 nm. Manganese are highly excited deeply UV exhibit peaked at 502 characteristic f-f lines. energy transfer between host defects activator was observed....
New LiyCaxNd1-xMnO3 solid solutions were synthesized by electrochemical insertion of Li in the structure Ca-Nd-Mn-O system ceramics. The starting 1:1:3-oxides a solid-state reaction. The composition Ca0.5Nd0.5MnO3,Ca0.3Nd0.7MnO3and Ca0.05Nd0.95MnO3samples was confirmed X-ray fluorescent spectroscopy and energy-dispersive spectroscopy. The obtained ceramics are characterized orthorhombic symmetry (GdFeO3-type structure, space group P nma, Pearson's code oP 20, Z = 4).Insertion into voids oxide...
The new ternary indide Pr 11 Ge 5.21 In 4.79 was synthesized from the elements by arc-melting and subsequent annealing at 870 K. Single crystals were grown a special procedure in sealed tantalum container resistance furnace. The crystal structure of compound determined X-ray diffraction on single crystal: Sm 4 6 type, I4/mmm, tI84, а = 1185.6(2)pm, c 1654.8(3)pm, wR2 0.0623, 1051 F 2 values, 41 variables.Crystal chemistry is discussed geometrical point view.Crystal / Indium
The isothermal section of the phase diagram BaO-Tb2O 3+δ -CuO system at 1173 K was constructed based on X-ray powder diffraction data. The existence compounds BaTbO3 (SrZrO3 structure type, I4/mcm, a = 0.6034(1), c 0.8576(1) nm) and Ba44Cu45O90 (own Im-3m, 1.8266(3) confirmed in binary BaO-Tb2O3 BaO-CuO systems, respectively, but no ternary oxides were found. The investigation samples with nominal composition A0.5Tb0.5TO3(A Ca, Sr or Ba, T Ni Zn) showed presence phases from corresponding...

AB O 3 phases belonging to the well-known perovskite family constitute an important class of functional materials. Many them are already used as catalysts, electrodes, sensors, etc. However, a systematic study remains topical, taking into account huge tolerance CaTiO structure type and its derivatives, well wide range their physical properties. Ceramic samples nominal composition A 0.5 R FeO , where – alkaline-earth rare-earth metal, were prepared by solid-state reaction using high-purity...

Abstract The crystal structures of Sm 4 Ir 13 Ge 9 (I) and LaIr 3 2 (II) are determined by single XRD.
The size factor was analyzed as criterion for the formation of M 14 Cu 24 O 41 phases. Attempts to replace Sr and/or Ca in 8 6 , best-known spin-ladder compound, by Mg or Ba were carried out. No significant solubility observed Mg, whereas atoms, and up 4 atoms per formula unit could be replaced Ba. Based on present investigation literature data minimum “critical” value average radius cations above which an phase is formed found close 1.21 Å maximum 1.40 Å.
The crystal structure of the (Bi 0.02 Sr 0.39 Ca 0.59 ) 10 Cu 17 O 29 spin-ladder compound was determined from single-crystal X-ray diffraction data. The precursor powder prepared stoichiometric amounts SrCO 3 , CaCO CuO, and Bi 2 by calcination at 820 • C for 20 h pressed to form a rod used growth. The travelling-solvent-floating-zone method applied in an image furnace grow large single crystals. The composite commensurate solved refined space group F 222, Pearson symbol oF 224, = 11.340(2),b...
