본 연구에서는 광고 비즈니스 모델이 적용됨에 따라 웹툰과 광고에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고자 한다. 구체적으로, 광고와 웹툰의 서로 다른 정도의 관련성에 따른 대한 구독자의 인식을 살펴보았다. 선행연구는 웹툰 그 자체 혹은 광고효과에 집중하였으며, 웹툰의관련성에 모두에 태도에 집중하였다. 주 독자층인 20대를 대상으로 실험을 진행하였으며, 결과 간 관련성이 증가함에 각각에 태도, 그리고 웹툰에 충성도와 사용의도를 증가시킴을 밝혔다. 이에 따라, 선행연구에서 밝히지 못했던 광고의 관련성의 밝혔다는 점에서 이론적 시사점을 제시하며, 실무자에게는 광고를 게재할 경우 높은 제작할수록 긍정적 효과를 얻을 수 있다는 제공한다.
