Abstract A pectin‐based hydrogel was used as a remover of Cu 2+ and Pb ions from water wastewater in the release phosphate, potassium, urea. The swelling studies either aqueous or saline solutions were analyzed at different pressures, prediction profile solute transports further on basis transport process by diffusion swellable polymer networks. composed 0.10 g mL −1 final concentration showed an excellent absorption capacity for removal solution: 120 mg 130 per hydrogel, both pH 5.5. help...

Abstract Synthesis and characterization of a new hydrogel were carried out using chemically modified starch (starch‐M) consisting coupling CC bounds coming from glycidil methacrylate (GMA) onto the polysaccharide structure. 13 C NMR, 1 H FT‐IR spectroscopies used to confirm incorporation such groups starch‐M. The was prepared by crosslinking polymerization starch‐M sodium persulfate as an initiating agent. shows morphology clearly different that raw film due presence voids on its surface....

Abstract This contribution describes the absorption percentage of Pb 2+ and Cu from water by a superabsorbent hydrogel matrix (SH) made an anionic polysaccharide copolymerized with acrylic acid (AAc) acrylamide (AAm). Metal‐absorption tests, upon sequential pH variation, indicated that SH has pH‐sensitivity for both metals solution, attributed to functional ionic groups (COOH) present in AAc arabic gum (AG) segments. At 5.0, exhibited good capacity: 73.10% , 81.99% 63.64% 76.67% saline 0.1...

Given the importance of protease’s worldwide market, determination optimum conditions and development a standard protocol are critical during selection reliable method to determine its bioactivity. This paper uses quality control theory validate modified version proposed by Charney Tomarelli in 1947. The results obtained showed that using azocasein substrate bromelain had at 45°C pH 9 (Glycine-NaOH 100 mM). We also quantified limit detection (LoD) quantification (LoQ) above-mentioned (0.072...

Peptidases or proteases are enzymes with the ability to break peptide bonds. They have been investigated due their industrial applications in products such as foods and detergents. This review provides an update of protease characteristics, production, downstream processes applications. Proteases predominantly produced by microorganisms using submerged solid-state fermentations. The bottleneck production is found processes, which can account for 70 90% total cost. Precipitation used addition...

Abstract By means of a conventional cross‐linking/co‐polymerization reaction modified gum arabic (M‐GA), acrylamide (AAm), and potassium acrylate (KAAc) in the presence magnetite (Fe 3 O 4 ) nanoparticles, magnetic field‐sensitive M‐GA‐based hydrogel (smart hydrogel) was synthesized to investigate its potential as biomaterial intelligent hydrogel. Characterizations through FT‐IR, NMR, XRD, Mössbauer, SEM, EDX inferred that smart efficiently formed. Theoretically, obtained this work may...

This study focused on verifying whether the emission of air pollutants in São Paulo increases costs and number hospitalizations for respiratory diseases Brazil. Data pollutant emissions, hospitalizations, hospital were collected from 2008 to 2017 correlated with quality standards. The results showed that concentration particulate matter increased each year during period was highly due diseases. Ozone (O3) within standard throughout but registered an increase mean a positive correlation...
