Based on the transverse electric (TE)/transverse magnetic (TM) polarization diversity in plasmonic Bragg gratings, a compact TM-pass/TE-stop polarizer is theoretically proposed thin-film lithium niobate insulator (LNOI) platforms. By introducing large misalignment between metal gratings both sides of LNOI waveguide, we demonstrate with high extinction ratio 20 dB, low insertion loss 2.5 wide waveband from 1.48 to 1.62 μm, and size only 23 μm simulation.
A broadband and compact TE-pass/TM-stop polarizer is presented based on hybrid plasmonic grating (HPG) an x-cut Lithium-Niobate-on-isolator (LNOI) platform. By comprehensively analyzing the effects of metal width mode effective index, similarity, conversion, we demonstrate structure with a narrow layer. The simulation results indicate that length 9 μm achieves extinction ratio over 20 dB within wavelength range from 1470 nm to 1700 nm. insertion loss below 2.3 in C-band. Furthermore,...
In this article, we will report the low temperature Raman studies of Li0.12Na0.88NbO3 ceramics at ferroelectric–ferroelectric phase transitions. The spectral pattern indicates transition occurs 200 K in cooling process and 280 on heating. observed spectra are discussed as they relate to internal stretching modes NbO6 octahedron cation translation modes. temperature-dependent show that transitions may involve rearrangement Na+ cation, relative orientation octahedral, displacement Nb ions.
We proposed a compact and efficient polarization rotator (PR) based on an asymmetric hybrid plasmonics waveguide (HPW) the lithium-niobate-on-insulator (LNOI) platform. focus design of rotation angle balance between two modes. The presented device exhibits extinction ratio as high 59.58 dB insertion loss 1.44 with length only 13.7 μm. fabrication tolerances suitable process are also discussed to meet state-of-art technology.
A simple approach to estimating microwave Doppler frequency shift (DFS) based on a single dual-polarization quadrature phase keying (DP-QPSK) modulator is proposed and experimentally demonstrated. The scheme capable of both the value direction DFS simultaneously precisely owing introduction reference signal. In approach, transmitted signal (microwave carrier) are loaded upper branch DP-QPSK generate carrier suppression double-sideband signals, respectively, while echo lower perform...
We proposed a design of fundamental TM mode waveguide optical isolator using lithium niobate on insulator (LNOI) and deposited magneto-optical film. The adopts an asymmetric Mach-Zehnder interferometer (MZI) structure composed two 1 × 2 MMIs, non-reciprocal reciprocal waveguides. used three methods to calculate the phase shift (NRPS) (LN)/ Ce: YIG composite got similar results. device shows about 51.98 nm 30 dB isolation bandwidth 1.20 simulated insertion loss at wavelength 1550 nm....
We propose a compact, high extinction ratio, and low-loss polarization beam splitter (PBS) on lithium-niobate-on-insulator (LNOI) platform, based an asymmetrical directional coupler using silicon nitride nanowire assisted waveguide (WG) grooved WG. By properly designing Si3N4 nanowires LN WGs, TE meets the phase matching condition, while significant mismatching exists for TM polarization. Numerical simulations show that PBS has ultra-high ratio (ER) of TE0 TM0 (larger than 40 dB 50 dB,...
An all-pass racetrack-resonator-Bragg gratings (APRR-BG) on thin-film lithium niobate insulator (LNOI) based coupling resonant system is proposed to generate tunable electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT)-like transmission. The structure a normal racetrack-resonator with two Bragg inscribed within the straight waveguides, which introduces different optical pathways in essence, inducing EIT-like spectrum as result. We investigate linewidth, and tunability of spectrum, manufacturing...
In this paper, xLi2O-yK2O-(1-x-y)Nb2O5, x = 0 − 1 and y 1, system was partially studied using Lithium Potassium Niobate as sintering materials in order to reduce the temperature. The prepared lithium potassium niobate ceramics are characterized X-ray diffraction method grain size have been calculated SEM photographs; phase transitions observed from DSC experiment. Finally, piezoelectric dielectric characteristics of these mixed ceramic systems also investigated. planar mode electromechanical...
The process where a laser and Si waveguide were coupled was simulated by MATLAB. In order to obtain the coupling efficiency accurately quickly, an improved finite-difference beam-propagation method(FD-BPM) simple transparent boundary condition(STBC) selected. We propose an ultra-compact, high-performance polarization beam splitter (PBS) on the x-cut lithium-niobate-on-insulator (LNOI) platform. The device based asymmetrical directional coupler (ADC) consists of a single-mode waveguide (SMW) and hybrid plasmonic (HPW). Whole length is only 47 μm, which shortest PBS LNOI platform due to polarization-dependent characteristic plasmonics. When choosing proper width coupling waveguides (WGs), phase-matching condition can be satisfied in TE while...
