Ternary quantum dots (QDs) are very promising nanomaterials with a range of potential applications in photovoltaics, light-emitting devices, and biomedicine. Despite quite intensive studies ternary QDs over the last years, specific relaxation channels involved their emission mechanisms still poorly understood, particularly corresponding core-shell nanostructures. In present work, we have studied recombination pathways AgInS2 stabilized ZnAgInS alloy layer ZnS shell (AIS/ZAIS/ZnS QDs) using...

Nowadays, multiplex analysis is very popular, since it allows to detect a large number of biomarkers simultaneously. Traditional usually based on changes photoluminescence (PL) intensity and/or PL band spectral positions in the presence analytes. Using lifetime as an additional parameter might increase efficiency methods. Quantum dots (QDs) can be used luminescent markers for analysis. Ternary in-based QDs are great alternative traditional Cd-based one. possess all advantages QDs, including...

Surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) is regarded as a versatile tool for studying the composition and structure of matter. This work has studied preparation SERS substrate based on self-assembling plasmonic nanoparticle film (SPF) in polymer matrix. Several synthesis parameters SPF are investigated, including size particles making up concentration type agent. The result testing systems with different characteristics discussed using model substance (pseudoisocyanin iodide). These models...

Here we report on the development and investigation of a novel multiplex assay model based polymer microspheres (PMS) encoded with ternary AIS/ZnS quantum dots (QDs). The system was prepared via layer-by-layer deposition technique. Our studies Förster resonance energy transfer (FRET) between QD-encoded two different cyanine dyes have demonstrated that QD photoluminescence (PL) quenching steadily increases decrease in QD-dye distance. We found sensitized dye PL intensity demonstrates clear...

Abstract Here we report investigation of red-shifted defect photoluminescence observed in two-dimensional colloidal cadmium selenide nanoplatelets. We used absorption, and excitation measurements to show that bands are related directly nanoplatelets may originate from surface imperfections as well be a result interaction between different the solution. also found easily altered by simple mechanical treatment, including sonication stirring, thus disclosing ways control emission over time.
