OSBPL7 and ER stress comprise a central mechanism in glomerular injury. This study highlights crucial link between deficiency CKD. causes stress, leading to podocyte apoptosis. There is selective effect on lipid homeostasis that affects homeostasis, altering cellular triglyceride but not cholesterol content. The interaction of apoptosis supports reduced autophagy, the main driver OSBPL7-deficient podocytes.
