ABSTRACT In this study, we present the complete genome of Bradyrhizobium lupini LLZ14, a nodule-forming bacterium isolated from Lupinus luteus root nodules with high plant growth-promoting abilities. This contains genes predicted to be involved in stress tolerance and growth promotion, including auxin production, phosphatase, 1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylate deaminase.
Abstract Retama dasycarpa is an endemic species native to the cold semi-arid bioclimates of High Atlas Mountains in Morocco. In this work, we analyzed diversity microsymbionts nodulating plant and their different phenotypic symbiotic characteristics. Phylogenetic analysis 16S rRNA gene revealed that tested isolates clustered Bradyrhizobium genus. Multilocus sequence analyses four housekeeping genes (recA, gyrB, glnII atpD) for 12 selected strains grouped them into clusters close B. lupini...
Millions of tons lead and zinc wastes from the abandoned Toussite mine are stored in open air as dikes vicinity villages Eastern Morocco pose a real danger to both environment local populations. To prevent movement minerals nearby limit damages health, we proposed nitrogen-fixing leguminous shrub Retama monosperma, model plant use for phytostabilization experimentations. This species is known by its ability grow hard climatic conditions heavy metals contaminated soils. The isolation...
The Moroccan endemic Vachellia gummifera grows wild under extreme desert conditions. This plant could be used as an alternative fodder for goats, and camels, in order to protect the Argan forests against overgrazing Central Southwestern semiarid areas. With aim improve V. population's density areas, we proposed its inoculation with performing growth-promoting bacteria. Hence, 500 bacteria were isolated from rhizosphere. From these, 291 isolates retained (PGP) activities assessment. A total...
To identify the bacteria nodulating Sulla spinosissima growing profusely in a lead and zinc mine tailings Eastern Morocco. In all, 32 rhizobial cultures, isolated from root nodules of S. soils mining site, were tolerant to different heavy metals. The ERIC‐polymerase chain reaction (PCR) fingerprinting analysis clustered isolates into seven groups, 16S rRNA sequences four selected representative strains, showed they related species genus Mesorhizobium. atpD, glnII recA housekeeping genes...
In this work, we analyzed the diversity of nodule-forming bacteria associated with Lupinus luteus and cosentinii grown in Maamora Cork oak forest acidic soils Morocco. The phenotypic analysis showed high strains nodulating two lupine's species. were not tolerant to acidity or alkalinity. They do tolerate salinity temperatures either. isolated from L. more antibiotics than those . plant growth promoting (PGP) activities our are modest, as among 28 tested isolates, only six produced auxins,...
