Azobenzene-containing cross-linked liquid crystal polymer films without hydrophilic groups exhibit dual-responsivity to humidity and UV light. The realize not only a series of large sophisticated contactless motions by utilizing moisture, including an inchworm walk, tumbling locomotion, but also dual-mode actuation that can be applied in flexible electronics.

Abstract Anisotropic 1D contraction motion of polymeric actuating materials has drawn growing interests in fields ranging from soft robotics to biomimetic muscles. Although light‐driven liquid crystal polymers (LCPs) represent promising candidates realize (<20%) triggered remotely and spatially, there remain multitudes challenges develop an LCP system possessing ultralarge rate. Here, a novel strategy combining shape memory effect photochemical phase transition is presented as large 81%...

Abstract Flexible microfluidic systems have potential in wearable and implantable medical applications. Directional liquid transportation these typically requires mechanical pumps, gas tanks, magnetic actuators. Herein, an alternative strategy is presented for light‐directed manipulation flexible bilayer microtubes, which are composed of a commercially available supporting layer the photodeformable newly designed azobenzene‐containing linear crystal copolymer. Upon moderate visible light...

Shape memory polymers that undergo shape recovery at room temperature (RT) are desirable for their potential in vivo applications, yet challenging. Herein, light-triggered athermal effect of azopolymer networks is reported by photoswitching the glass transition (Tg) rather than external heating. Thanks to switchable Tg induced reversible trans-cis isomerization, entropic energy trapped low state (cis-form < RT) deform into a temporary and fixed high (trans-form > RT). Upon exposure UV light,...

Twisted and coiled polymer actuators (TCAs) are a kind of efficient artificial muscles, which have good prospects for application in soft robots, bionic devices, biological, medical, other high-tech fields. However, the inability to dynamically sense adjust strain actuator will lead uncertainty accuracy deformation strain, resulting imprecise target action. Herein, TCAs with self-sensing ability (TCASA) prepared by integrating stretchable optomechanical film (SOMF) sensors into TCAs,...

Activation of PD-1/PD-L1 checkpoint is a critical step for the immune evasion malignant tumors including breast cancer. However, epigenetic mechanism underlying aberrant expression PD-L1 in cancer cells remains poorly understood. To investigate role TET2 regulation gene expression, quantitative reverse transcription PCR (RT-qPCR), Western blotting, chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP) assay and MeDIP/hMeDIP-qPCR were performed on MCF7 MDA-MB-231 human cells. Here, we reported that depletion...

Abstract Photoresponsive blend films with post‐crosslinked liquid crystalline polymer (CLCP) as a photosensitive component and flexible polyurethane (PU) the matrix are successfully fabricated. After being uniaxially stretched, even at low concentration, azobenzene‐containing CLCP effectively transfers its photoresponsiveness to photoinert PU matrix, resulting in fast photo‐induced bending behavior of whole film thanks effective dispersion CLCP. Specifically, shows deformations upon exposure...

An agent‐based model is constructed to study the effects of individual irrationality and network structure on collective performance. We find that density are most influential factors. Moderate degree results in moderate knowledge unity superior quality knowledge; increasing connections or decreasing average path length (APL) can promote integration unity.
