Tests have been conducted in a wind tunnel with seven types of heat sinks including plate fin, strip fill, and pin fin sinks. In the case sinks, both inline staggered arrays studied. The had circular square cross-sections. For each type, tests were run heights (H) 10, 15, 20 mm while sink width (B) was kept constant equal to 52.8 mm. total, 42 different tested. duct (CB) varied such way that results obtained for B/CB=0.84, 0.53, 0.33. height (CH) similarly, data recorded H/CH=1, 0.67, 0.33...
Building energy use constitutes a large part of total use, both in the European Union and Sweden. Due to this resulting emissions, several goals for efficiency emissions have been set. In Sweden, portion multi-family buildings were built between 1960 1980, which major savings potential. The purpose paper is further development validation previously introduced signature method its inherent parameters. was applied on building where thermal data supplied by district heating company available...
The Swedish research project 'Potential and Policies for Energy Efficiency in Historic Buildings' aims to investigate the interdependency between political energy targets effects on built heritage. first part of this paper presents an iterative interactive method assess potential consequences improving performance a stock historic buildings. Key elements are: categorisation building stock, identifying targets, assessment measures, life-cycle cost optimisation. In second paper, is applied...
