Abstract Nephrotic syndrome is a well‐known risk factor of deep vein thrombosis (DVT). Catheter‐related DVT under the setting nephrotic may be presented as more fulminant form, phlegmasia cerulea dolens. Phlegmasia dolens lead to severe obstruction venous drainage extremities and presents with compartment that impairs arterial perfusion. Aggressive management thrombolysis and/or thrombectomy are considered simultaneous anticoagulant treatment.
