A novel computer-aided detection method based on deep learning framework was proposed to detect small intestinal ulcer and erosion in wireless capsule endoscopy (WCE) images. To the best of our knowledge, this is first time that has been exploited automated WCE Compared with traditional method, can produce image features directly from data increase recognition accuracy as well efficiency, especially for big data. The developed included cropping compression. AlexNet convolutional neural...

We proposed a dual focus channel spectral domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT) for simultaneous imaging of the whole eye segments from cornea to retina. By using channels system solved problem limited depth SD-OCT. light focusing on anterior segment and Dual was achieved by adjusting collimating lenses so divergence two probing beams tuned make them focused at different in eye. further full range complex (FRC) SD-OCT one increase imaging. The successfully tested human vivo.
A passively mode-locked Yb fiber laser using PbSe colloidal quantum dots (CQDs) as saturable absorber (SA) is experimentally demonstrated. An all-fiber experimental scheme was designed to understand the SA property of CQDs. The non-saturable loss, modulation depth, and intensity measured were 23%, 7%, 12 MW/cm2, respectively. CQDs sandwiched in a connector, which further inserted into for mode-locking. As pump power up 110 mW, self-starting mode-locking pulses observed. Under 285 maximum...
We propose an approach to integrated optical spectral filtering that allows arbitrary programmability, can compensate automatically for imperfections in filter fabrication, multiple simultaneous and separately programmable functions on the same input, configure itself problem of interest, example or reject arbitrarily chosen frequencies. This paper focuses on the modeling challenges of a multi-cell heterojunction bipolar transistor (HBT) used in radio frequency (RF) power amplifiers and proposes an innovative linear small-signal method. Based devices with emitter size 3 μm × 40 2–6 (emitter width length index-cell number), equivalent circuit model including peripheral parasitic parameters is constructed by analyzing device layout characteristics response to additional effects introduced structure. A step-by-step parameter...
Abstract Salicylic acid (SA) has been frequently used as a facial chemical peeling agent (FCPA) in various cosmetics for rejuvenation and dermatological treatments the clinic. However, there is tradeoff between therapeutic effectiveness possible adverse effects caused by this cosmetologists. To optimize cosmetic efficacy with minimal concentration, we proposed permeation enhancer (CPE) azone to synergistically work SA on human skin vivo . The optical properties of after being treated alone...
We developed an improved dual band focus spectral domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT) for in vivo 2D/3D imaging of the whole eye segment, including anterior segment and retina. The system featured two OCT channels with different bands centered at 840 nm 1050 nm, which were designed to image retina segments eye, respectively.By combing probe light beams co-axial scanning separating them focusing a combination three dichroic mirrors, we not only minimized loss backscattered from sample...
Photonic bandgap (PBG) waveguide microcavities with tightly confined resonant optical modes have been designed, fabricated using high-dielectric-contrast GaAs/Al/sub x/O/sub y/ III-V compound semiconductor structures, and characterized optically. The photonic crystal lattices are defined by one-dimensional (1-D) arrays of holes in waveguides, a controlled defect the spacing between two an array defines microcavity. Waveguide microcavity resonances studied both monorail suspended air-bridge...
High-resolution and real-time visualization of the morphological changes during embryonic development are critical for studying congenital anomalies. Optical coherence tomography (OCT) has been used to investigate process embryogenesis. However, structural visibility embryo is decreased with depth due signal roll-off high light scattering. To overcome these obstacles, in this study, combined a spectral-domain OCT (SD-OCT) gold nanorods (GNRs) 2D/3D imaging live mouse embryos. Inductively...
Purpose: To investigate the feasibility and practicality of real-time noninvasive imaging measurement ocular accommodation (0–5D with one diopter step) using dual-channel, dual-focus spectral domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT).Materials Methods: A custom-built, SD-OCT was used to image anterior segment, including cornea, iris, posterior lens surfaces. Three consecutive measurements were taken in each accommodative session for subject. Changes dimensions during calculated based on...
The human eyes provide a natural window for noninvasive measurement of the pulse wave velocity (PWV) small arteries. By measuring retinal PWV, stiffness arteries can be assessed, which may better detect early vascular diseases. Therefore, PWV has attracted increasing attention. In this study, jump‐scanning method was proposed using spectral‐domain optical coherence tomography (SD‐OCT). uses phase‐resolved Doppler OCT to obtain shapes. To realize measurement, extracts transit time from an...
A wave demultiplexer system with N channels in a two-dimensional photonic crystal is proposed. The realized by the coupling among an ultra-low-quality factor microcavity and resonators high-quality factor. mode theory employed to analyze behavior of this system. analytic results reveal that reflection fully absent at peak frequencies for all channels. simulations obtained multiple-scattering method experimental microwave region show analysis valid. This might also be valuable design other...
To research retinal stretching or distortion with accommodation, accommodation-induced changes in thickness (RT) the macular area were investigated a population of young adults (n=23) by using dual-channel spectral domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT) system manufactured in-house for this study. This SD-OCT is capable imaging cornea and retina simultaneously an speed 24 kHz A-line scan rate, which can provide anatomical dimensions eye, including RT axial length. Thus, modification...
We report the existence of topologically charged nodal surface, a band degeneracy on two-dimensional surface in momentum space that is charged. develop Hamiltonian for such and show can be implemented tight-binding model as well an acoustic meta-material. also identify topological phase transition, through which charges changes by absorbing or emitting integer number Weyl points. Our result indicates theory, objects are not restrict to zero dimension point, thus pointing previously...
Significance: Digital holographic microscopy is widely used to get the quantitative phase information of transparent cells. Aim: However, sample superimposed with aberrations.
