Sixty-one SARS coronavirus genomic sequences derived from the early, middle, and late phases of severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) epidemic were analyzed together with two viral palm civets. Genotypes characteristic each phase discovered, earliest genotypes similar to animal SARS-like coronaviruses. Major deletions observed in Orf8 region genome, both at start end epidemic. The neutral mutation rate genome was constant but amino acid substitution coding slowed during course spike...

During geothermal energy development, the bottom high-temperature fluid continuously exchanges heat with upper low-temperature wellbore and stratum during its rising process. Thermal insulation cement (TIC) can increase outlet temperature, thus effectively reducing loss of improving efficiency. In this study, vitrified microbubbles (VMB) were screened out by conducting an orthogonal test compressive strength (CS) thermal conductivity (TC) on three inorganic materials (VMB, expanded perlite...

Shear connectors have been widely used in bridge and steel engineering to transfer the dynamic load effect between neighbour elements. The shear are exposed moist air, corrosion is unavoidable. An experimental investigation was conducted on behaviour of corroded stud with growing strain rates study effects rate capacity. Four series specimens different were tested. electronic accelerating method fabricate studs target rates. loaded five loading speeds investigate fractured surfaces show that...

An explosion is defined as a large-scale, rapid and sudden release of energy. Explosions, such bomb within or immediately nearby building gas-chemical explosion, can cause catastrophic damage on the building's frames, collapsing walls, blowing out large expanses windows, shutting down critical life-safety systems. In fact, an may result in dynamic loads, greater than original design many structures. Blast phenomenon blast efforts have been made during past several decades to develop methods...

Abstract Nano calcium silicate hydrate (nano-C–S–H) has become a novel additive for advanced cement-based materials. In this paper, the effect of nano-C–S–H on early-age performance cement paste been studied, and some micro-characterization methods were used to measure microstructure nano-C–S–H-modified material. The results showed that initial fluidity was improved after addition nano-C–S–H, but gradual loss increased with dosage nano-C–S–H. autogenous shrinkage can be reduced by up 42%...

Conductive silicone keypads are widely applied in many electrical products. However, they still followed the plug-in mounting design up to now. In this study, accordance with development direction of Surface Mounted Technology (SMT) microelectronics packaging components, a SMT keypad quad flat no lead (QFN) form is proposed. First, modeled by using finite element analysis software, and then relationship between pressing force key displacement discussed. Second, mechanical stress distribution...

An extensive numerical study was carried out due to the concern that head-sectional damage caused by corrosion poses a threat tensile performance of headed stud connectors. Three-dimensional finite element models pull-out tests were established, with both material and geometric nonlinearities being considered. In particular, concrete weak region bleeding simulated. The simulation method verified results on two connectors different degrees. Tensile shear various shaft diameters (ds = 10 25...

ABSTRACT Although coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has not been considered a public health emergency of international concern since last year, intermittent regional impacts still persist, and accurate testing remains crucial. Ribonuclease P protein subunit P30 ( RPP30 ) RNA, known for its broad stable expression in tissue cells, was used to evaluate samples from 10 hospitals with over 3,000 negative nucleic acid tests. The results revealed that the overall pass rate collected consistently...
