The study reveals the prevalence of a potential rodent-borne zoonotic helminth species, Hymenolepis diminuta in commensal rodents caught from irrigated and rain-fed areas Swat, Pakistan. Three hundred fifty (269 rats 81 mice) trapped during vegetative, flowering/fruiting mature/harvesting stages crops were studied 2011-2013. Hymenolepisdiminuta eggs identified on basis their shape, size, colour markings surface egg shell three pairs embryonic hook-lets. Overall H. was 3.14% (n=11/350)....
