lipoma is the most frequent soft tissue tumor in adults. Its occurrence retroperitoneal region extremely rare. The aim of this study to report a case with literature review.A 34-year-old female presented abdominal distension and severe back pain for one year duration. She also reported weight loss constipation. examination revealed asymmetrical everted umbilicus. There was big irregular mass occupying whole abdomen reaching into xiphisternum, firm consistency, smooth surface, well defined...

Summary Background The primary treatment regimen for Helicobacter pylori infection Kuwaitis does not contain metronidazole, but that expatriates does. There is also increasing failure of antimicrobial therapy. Aim To determine the susceptibility H. from upper gastrointestinal biopsies and non‐Kuwaitis to find out if differences existed in susceptibilities isolates two different populations. Methods 96 were tested against amoxicillin, clarithromycin tetracycline by E test. rdxA gene was...

To compare the diagnostic utility of Doppler echocardiography-derived tricuspid regurgitant jet velocity (TRV) ≥ 2.5 m/s to right heart catheterization (RHC) in defining pulmonary hypertension (PH) adult patients with sickle cell disease (SCD).This is a retrospective chart review adults SCD who had TRV and RHC. A suggestive PH. Pulmonary arterial (PAH) was defined as mean artery pressure (mPAP) 25 mm Hg capillary wedge ≤ 15 Hg. venous an mPAP >15 Hg.Twenty-five met inclusion criteria. Nine...

Gastric lipomas are unusual benign lesions and account for less than 1% of all tumours the stomach 5% gastrointestinal (Thompson et al.2003; Fernandez al. 1983 [1,2]). Although predominantly asymptomatic indolent; they may present with gastric outlet obstruction upper (GI) bleeding owing to size ulceration. Only a few cases have been reported, presenting large in massive GI (Alcalde Escribano 1989; Johnson 1981 [3,4]).We report case 62-year-old gentleman who presented emergency department...

Accessory spleens are found in 10-15% of the population, and even more prevalent patients with hematological disorders (Rudowski, 1985). It infrequently may become symptomatic due to torsion, spontaneous rupture or hemorrhage which lead death. Torsion an accessory spleen is extremely rare, requires prompt medical attention [2] (Coote et al., 1999).We report case a 27-year-old Mediterranean lady thalassemia trait, who presented emergency department acute surgical abdomen torsion giant spleen,...

Hepatic choristomas or ectopic livers are uncommon, and occur due to a failure of embryological liver development. They pose risk carcinogenesis, with transformation hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) being described in the literature (Arakawa et al., 1999). It is often silent clinical finding that can anywhere body usually diagnosed incidentally during abdominal surgical procedures autopsies (Eiserth 1940). Abstract A clinical study was conducted to determine the effect of nasal valve lift treatment using absorbable, polylactic acid, self-retaining cone threads (Silhouette Soft) in patients with stenosis. Sixty (n = 60) were included this prospective which performed from January 2015 until December 2018, 19 dropped out due noncompliance. Initially, participants divided into two equal groups. One treated by only, other additionally received turbinoplasty. visual analog scale (VAS) used rate...

Levamisole belongs to the antihelminthic class of drugs that are sometimes administered patients with frequently relapsing or steroid-dependent nephrotic syndrome, owing its steroid-sparing effects. Neutropenia and skin lesions, compatible vasculitis, have been reported as drug complications, but they rarely associated any systemic involvement. We report a case 9-year-old Arab boy syndrome who was treated levamisole after his third relapse. The initially well tolerated, mild isolated...

South Asians living in the United Kingdom have a 1.5-fold greater risk of ischemic stroke than general population. Impaired cerebrovascular carbon dioxide (CO2) reactivity is an independent predictor and cardiovascular mortality. We sought to test hypothesis that CO2 reduced Asians. We observed that acute whole body heating elevates radial artery shear rate, diameter, and blood flow. This results in a diminished flow-meditated dilatation (FMD) but does not change low-flow-mediated constriction (L-FMC). Preventing rate changes during reduces vasodilation reverses FMD reductions has no effect on L-FMC. These findings indicate underpin conduit responses to heat stress, further endothelium-dependent flow-mediated is attenuated as the vasodilatory range limit approached.

Splenic artery aneurysms (SAA) are uncommon findings. Herein, we sought to determine whether this is associated with exercise-induced changes in arterial shear rate (SR).Ten healthy and recreationally active young men (23 ± 2 years) participated 30 min of incremental leg (50, 100, 150 Watts).
